So last night I hung out with some friends. I was hungry on my way home. I stop at a gas station called Sheetz where they also have made to order food. I get four chili cheese dogs and grab an Arizona Iced tea.

I can't wait to eat the food, so I open up all the hot dogs wrappings and sit everything on the passenger seat. I'm eating as I drive. After I finished my second hot dog I grabbed my iced tea and drank about half of it. When I ate my third hot dog I felt a few little glass shards, though I didn't know it was glass at the time. They were more like very small glass crystals, and I figured it was stuff in the hot dog. I put down the hot dog halfway through and I went for another giant sip of my iced tea.

This is the dangerous part. I take another giant gulp, and can feel shard of glass going down my throat along with other shards of glass in my mouth. I spit out the last gulp in my mouth and begin to cough. There is no where for me to pull over. I had to drink it fast, especially the second sip, because now I was drinking at something like 150 degree angle (instead of a 90 degree angle like the first sip) and I obviously need to pay attention to the road. It was real late and I end up just going home and going to bed.

This morning I take a poop and my anus is bleeding. Called my mom, she told me to eat bananas and bread so I've been doing that. Looked up some info online and I'll prob go to the ER. I dumped out the rest of my iced tea into my hand and found a decent amount of glass in it. Many very tiny pieces of glass the size of a grain of sand that I just washed down the garbage disposal, and a few other pieces that range up to the size of my pinky finger nail. I put the bigger pieces back in the bottle in case I die from internal bleeding or something so people know not to drink Arizona Iced Tea.

I have a lot of stuff to do today and I might wait till later to go to the ER. Not sure how serious this is. However, if I die from internal bleeding and FTP pays their players back (I have 40k on FTP) I would like it to be split between everyone who posts in this thread.

I would contact Arizona and let them know since there could be other bottles with glass in them. You can also call a doctor and ask them if you should admit yourself.

If I was sure I had consumed glass shards and was experiencing some kind of internal bleeding I would not hesitate to get to an ER ASAP. I would call Saul sometime later in the process depending on how bad the damage was.

It's a case of the company being sued. Apparently they pour the tea in the bottle when it's hot and as it cools it can sometimes cause the glass to break. Haven't read the whose case yet.

Yea go to the ER. I think your anus bleeding is a big deal regardless of the original source of the blood.

Agree with lawyering up to contact the company. You can wait a bit though for that, just go seek medical attention now.
