Pretty sad. I figured the prognosis wasn't good given the lack of updates since the initial reports of his stomach cancer.

If any of you ever wanna kill some time, search his interviews on YouTube. Major ego, but articulate and engaging. The guy was truly blessed with natural charisma.

Ok, that said... be careful, everyone; Dids should be showing up any minute now, lambasting us for how stupid we are for eulogizing Dio.

I was reading tons of info saying he was still alive and the death reports were false so I was expecting the same when I got into this thread.

Sad to hear.

He was here in the Twin Cities receiving treatment I believe.

RIP Ronnie James Dio

I saw him solo 3 times and with Heaven and Hell 3 times with the last being in the 5th row this past August 22 at Nautica in Cleveland. Great show and one of the greatest metal singers of all time.

You will be missed.
