How about some stories?

Besides technology, what's the biggest difference you see between the military back then and the military now?

How was camaraderie once you actually got to Vietnam?

Was racism a large factor back then, or did it not matter once you were in the jungle?

First off I am sure there are threads on military forums that are probably very good. Anyway I'm not sure if I could get my dad to post or even take time so I can ask and post it for him. I'll talk to him later this morning see if he wants to. But he was a gunner in a Medevac Unit.

(not him but you get the idea)

i think a thread about vets in general could be interesting. Vietnam was so long ago now there's probably barely any here, but there are probably some guys who have been to Iraq and stuff.

I've been to Iraq but all I did was surf the internet, go to the gym, and play poker. Can't imagine Vietnam was similar at all
