Should you be concerned that you have a neon sign?

sometimes oot's ability to start absolutely mundane and useless threads about the most innocuous things boggles my mind.

if you tell me where you are i could be more specific, no phone numbers but give you a clearer picture. pizza delivery boys usually smoke, restaurants workers, go to your local organic market/health food place, networking, ask old college buddies if they know anybody or connect with old friends that might know. go to a college frat house or places where college kids usually hang out. go to the gas station and if you see someone buying a blunt that doesn't look too sketchy ask them. or go to a bar and ask the bartender if he looks like he smokes...

i heard in hawaii they import a lot of dank from the mainland because there is not enough local grown to go around but I heard Hawaiian bud tastes awesome. to the poster that copped in hawaii, do you think it was local grown or dank from the mainland? did it taste really good?

one time i was in oregon and just walked around the center of campus asking hippy types. the first guy was really genuinely sorry that he couldnt help and the 2nd guy took me to his friends house where he got me almost an eighth of the best stuff ive ever had for $20

Any taxi driver in a decent sized city can normally hook it up for you. THis obv isn't a great connection but it will get the job done in a pinch.

In terms of making a good connection. If you burn you should be able to spot most fellow burners within 30 secs. Just strike up a convo about some stoner band/movie and you will be set in no time.

definitely local, definitely high grade. we went back to the hotel room, smoked, and wanted to go down to the beach that night. i had to give it 20 minutes, because i was in no shape to be in an elevator with a stranger.

i was in hawaii 10 years ago also, both times i've been i've found some of the best weed i've ever had. no way this came from the mainland.

it's always a little nerve-racking paying 120/quarter when you have no idea what's going to be in the bag, but they don't **** around in hawaii. i'm sure that's the 'tourist price', and it's much cheaper for locals, but i was on vacation and didn't give a ****.

don't remember if i already said this, but the bartender put the bag in an empty cup with a top and straw. i inhaled through the straw walking out, and my mouth went immediately dry. i didn't even need to see it to know.

again, i'm shocked at the level of ineptitude itt. i haven't smoked in 6 or 7 weeks (maybe i'm growing out of it? dunno..no real reason not to), but i could always find it in a new environment pretty quickly. i guess it's probably in part due to the fact that i'm pretty good at evaluating people, and not afraid to simply walk up and ask...

I hear you but in ny it's rough. You simply can't buy on the street unless you go to harlem and to get a delivery service number or for them to deliver to you there has to be 3 customers that will vouch for you..

They would kick you out in a heartbeat. Every smoke shop I have been to has been very paranoid about talking about weed just because they are constant targets for police raids. You're just going to have to make friends who smoke. Asking some rando for weed is a good way to get into scammaments, and if someone approaches you to sell you drugs it's almost always a scam.

Easiest way - go and ask a hooker.

OK, I've been reading this and wondering how I can make myself seem normal enough to use any of these techniques. Problems: I am self-employed, and asking the clients to turn me on definitely wouldn't be good for business; I am almost 60, so young kids wouldn't automatically trust me; I am English and don't have any stoner friends in the USA yet.

So, anyone tell me how I could adapt the techniques? I suppose one thing going for me is with my accent people aren't likely to think I'm a cop. But of course being British I am pretty reserved, and don't feel entirely comfortable just walking up to a total stranger and asking for an eighth of hydro - I mean, we haven't been introduced, have we?
