Just moved to Pittsburgh and out of bananas. I like your barbershop tactic and may start getting my haircut somewhere new every other week until successful.

Wound up scoring from a coworker. I know for sure I could have went the barber route if needed but found out a bunch of coworkers blazed and one put it out there so I went that route.

Just find a smoke shop and ask them? Works everywhere afaict, they're very open about smoking in my experience.

I always thought some of those places freaked out with any mention, but yea I'm willing to risk the wrath and was thinking that as well.

Buy a pack of smokes and hang at a bar for the night. If the bartenders don't know, just head outside with the smokers and ask to use someone's lighter. Look for those friendly burn/ash marks on the bottom of the lighter. This method usually works within a few hours and you can be at home cozy and holding by midnight. Even the biggest social introvert should have it locked down in one night.

This part made me laugh. So lets say all these things come through, its day time and you ask for a lighter from weed smoker and the lighter he/she is carrying has those marks, what next? You ask where to score, that's creepy and weird, you have to be smooth and that person has to be very cool and relaxed for this to have any chance of working. Even then, 95% of the people will tell you politely to **** off.

Huh, I guess people actually use bongs in the US.

People use the end of their lighters to tighten up their bowls when they are half finished.

It's more of a cliché; half the time the possession of a lighter belongs to who used it last when they forgot it ended up in their pocket.

It's kind of like saying, "Look for a guy with long hair and a baggy shirt, and ask him." It's a clue. Nothing else.

Not that hard. Go to a busy area and wear your favorite shirt from a concert; in a populated area someone is bound to make a comment. When they say, "Vintage--Niceeeee, man!" you respond, "official retail yo, I was at the show " then BAM!!-- you just made a friend; follow it up with some boring life details and you'll often get invited out to a party to meet people, or share their buds with you, basically the same thing.

Cliffs: Be nice and cool and people will share their weed with you in a new town. Worry too much about being clever, suave, or expected, and you will become visible as someone who is putting on an act in hopes of procurement.

Apologies for bringing up an old thread. I just moved to northern Virginia - Fairfax county. Any advice on scoring some here? I am generally new to the country too, having spent some time only in NC n CA, plus I m Asian so can't just walk up to a bar and start asking folks. I hear parks in DC are a good bet, but does anybody have some more specific advice for a noobie?

Go to a bar where the average patron is on the young side, and then try and make a friend or two.

Weed is decriminalized in DC. From what I've heard it's not tough to get a script for medical pot, and there are a number of dispensaries.

Was watching a show about herb in DC. Craigslist bro. Just gotta pay the hookup for "their time".

I'd imagine the best way to get good bud in a new city would be go to the highest end glass gallery you can find. People that spend lots of money on glass are gonna have some fire weed, yo.
