-Goth Guy files a QWR, which legally requires the mortgage holder to respond.
(He also stalked banker message boards to find all the tricks bankers use to arbitrarily reject QWRs)

-Goth Guy gets paid $1000 damages by Wells Fargo for the bank not responding, but they still fail to address his initial greivance .

-He files a Sherif's levy, which is proper and accepted.

-Signs are posted for the sale of the assest of his local Wells Fargo branch

-Wells Fargo now thinks "they could have handled his situation better."

Seems like somebody at the local office decided to blow dude off and just got ****ing owned by not reading his mail and now is probably just stabled to a desk in the corporate office getting ****ed by a rotating series of management.

It would be exceptionally nitty to note that the guy is just levying on property, not foreclosing on Wells Fargo's real estate ... but I'm going to do it anyway. Totally different procedure.

here's an actual interesting story:

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...html#printMode

summary: some whorebag decided to stop paying her mortgage for no good reason and it's taken the bank multiple decades to try to get her back.

Dude in OP's article served up some serious ownage. Well played, sir, well played.

That said, I've banked with WF for a long time and they're the best bank I've ever had. When I bought my house through a short sale they held the first loan on the property, they were super-easy to work with (the holder of the second, Chase, sucked donkey dick).

I don't understand how this guy could have the sheriff levy based on a paid judgment without committing some kind of crime. (assuming that facet of the story is true)

In general, I hate how abusing legal processes is viewed as some kind of dramatic statement of how great the little guy is or whatever.

I generally agree, but when it comes to the banks and how they handled mortgages, and how we all ended up paying for it, I'm comfortable getting behind this one.

Ok you're right, I put it in quotation marks cause I was lazy and just quoted part of the original title.

Oh god the "25 yr foreclosure from hell" I remember that story and that old hag. God I wish her pit bulls would eat her. The old guy in this story had an actual grievance against WF and had a very good reason to do what he did.
This disgusting woman just said "I'm old and I should be entitled to a free house. To get my free house I will use every trick, shenanigan, and sheisty maneuver I can think of."

The two stories are totally different IMHO

So if Wells Fargo paid the $1000 or whatever, why the sheriff's sale? Maybe Goth Billy Mitchell had a legitimate case with this insurance thing. But, in general, I'm really sick of these stories that portray foreclosure defendants as heroes for finding ways to stay in their houses for free for several years. I understand that people fall on hard times and can't afford the payment anymore. So sell the house. If you can't sell, just move out and let the foreclosure happen. And don't give me this nonsense about sticking it to the big evil bank. Most of those loans were owned by the government (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac) or part of some securitized bundle of loans that was sold as an investment product. Yay, you screwed over US taxpayers and killed grandma's retirement account. When is the parade?

If I was unclear, not begrudging Goth Guy, my rant was directed at the lady in Florida and others like her. Goth Guy may have had a legitimate beef.
