Well i love spicy stuff, i put different hotsauces on 90% of the stuff that goes into my mouth.

I love it when im in so much pain from the burn in my mouth that i cant even enjoy my food, lately ive been using Tabasco habanero sauce, scoville rating 200k.

I use so much of it i have to drink and eat at the same time to keep my mouth from burning up.

Is eating too much hot sauce bad for you?

Could it burn a hole in my stommach over the years or something?

So far i havent found any negative effects of this, and i mean its just too good to be real.

There has to be something......even tho i hope there wouldnt be

Prob an old wive's tale but doesnt eating loads of hot spicy food destroy your palate making it harder to taste subtle flavours? Prob not a problem if you are drowning 90% of your food in hot sauce i guess.

Also i dont get the point. I like to taste food and hot sauce to the point its like eating fire just removes the point. You may as well just eat dehydrated space food and whatever you can buy cheap as you arent really enjoying the food anyway.

I was chastised on this very forum for my excessive sriracha usage.

I used to work in a bar, and a friend of mine came in and ordered some wings, "super hot". Another guy at the bar had been given some Dave's Insanity that day, so we put a couple drops on my buddy's wings. As he was eating them, he started sweating, and taking huge gulps of water. Then he went into the bathroom for about five minutes, and once he came out bolted for the door and left. We didn't charge him for the wings.

Well I currently have diverticulitis, a disease very common among the elder.
I am the statistical anomaly.
Anyways, it comes from an inflamation of the colon, yeah yeah, joke away.

Spicy condiments, and tabasco is as spicy as they come, can often irritate the colon, causing an inflamation of the walls, which transaltes in lower pain (lower that the stomach I mean). This inflamation can cause many things, or none.
Also the burning when you take a dump, is most likely caused by internal hemorroid type one (since I assume you haven´t been pooping with blood or mucus).

Only remedy for both those things is to stop with all condiments for a while (meaning weeks/month), and reducing the use after the irritation has gone.

Listen a brother out, you can always enjoy spicy food, as spicy as you want.
but if you appear umconfortable in any way, then listen to your body.

OP, I feel much like you, and have spent my life putting that feeling into practice. I now have a debilitating, unpredictable, expensive-to-treat bowel disorder that has already put me in the hospital / set people to talking about cutting out my guts once. I still eat tons of salsas and love it.
