The guy who proved that did so by drinking a load of the bacteria and gave himself loads of ulcers. He probably shortened his life doing so, lol. Everyone knows you test on OTHER humans.

Funny - we *just* watched a documentary last night about this dude. Timing.

OP - of course more spicy food will lead to spicy poop. But you're not killing your tastebuds, you're not more likely to have an ulcer, you're just not going to be nice company for the food you eat and the farts you break.

I recall seeing a couple case-control studies that suggested a link between gastric cancer and high capsaicin intake, so it's possible it could be bad for you. However, these studies can be flawed due to recall bias, etc. so it's hard to get a definitive answer.

i'm drunk but 10 years ago i poured tabasco in my eyes. i now have bad vision. it's not terrible, but i require contacts. this could have been due to the tabasco or due to old age. i'm not sure.

had one of these.

poured an entire bottle of one of these into it

proceeded to eat the whole thing. whilst drunk scrape index finger alongside the unfinished portions of the bowl and scraped it along the eye. then grabbed another bottle of tabasco and poured a good 4 to 5 drops directly into the eye. had tears for at least an hour. no vision problems for 5 years; then required glasses/contacts.

Everything is bad for you that tastes good or is enjoyable. Don't drink, smoke or use drugs. Eat nothing but vegetables. **** that, I'd rather die at 50 then live to 80 having no fun.

its definately delicious but it made any trip to the bathroom hell. felt as spicy coming out as it did coming in.
asked my parents same question (both doctors) they said no harmful effects to the stomach. so if you can stomach (pardon the pun) the afterburner its all good

hot sauce is awesome. i've been making my own hot sauces lately, you would be amazed at how cheap and easy they are to make. it is seriously like $5 to make a pint of the stuff, and you can really customize it to your tastes.
