As far as getting stuff done Saturday and Sunday are the worst days to do anything since those are the days most people have off and a lot of things are closed. I would much prefer to have two weekdays off than the weekend off. You still have nights free so no real impact on social life although based on your post it doesn't sound like you have much of one. Really the only negative here is missing football but that assumes you even like football.
