You forgot to include what the job actually is and that is pretty important.

Ignoring that this should be an easy decision.

As far as getting stuff done Saturday and Sunday are the worst days to do anything since those are the days most people have off and a lot of things are closed. I would much prefer to have two weekdays off than the weekend off. You still have nights free so no real impact on social life although based on your post it doesn't sound like you have much of one. Really the only negative here is missing football but that assumes you even like football.

Excited that the legendary Henry17 replied in my thread. Love the insult about me having no social life. And yes, I love football.

Small sacrifices for long term gain.

Good luck with the job if you take it - obviously it makes things a little harder to spend quality time with the family, but I'm sure you'll work something out that allows you to spend time with them.

When you feel like things are getting a bit tough, remember - you are doing this for the long term benefit of you and the family...

Seems like a snap call to me. I have a job with weird hours too. You get used to it really quick and you'll find there are many advantages to it as well. The very worst case scenario is that you'll hate it, but you'll have a better resume to find a better job with.

If you can manage your baby in office baby sitting area and other economic issue you will face in this concern then go for it
