But while we're on the subject, I'm confused and bothered when I hear people call DD "Dunks", or, worse, "Dunkies". When I was growing up in the Boston suburbs I do believe that would have gotten your ass kicked. We called it Dunkin. Did "Dunks" and "Dunkies" just not make it to Sudbury, or is this a new (like in the last 30 years) development?
Ha, you're right and I still call it Dunkin! 'Dunks' and esp "Dunkies" is a newish thing that I probably first heard about 2 years ago. *shudder*

Starbucks would fit the bill for me just fine. Here in Boston there are 6 DD for every SB.

Once I stopped drinking soda, my coffee habit kicked in hard.

I promise you I'm going to tell her to eff herself next time she says the word 'survey'. I just need to be prepared and know what I'm going to say, which is going to be "No, I'm not doing any more surveys." My follow up will be "never mind the coffee" and walking out.

All of you who weighed in really helped me get to this conclusion. Eff her.

BTW I'm in work, Foxwoods has to wait till tomorrow. I did NOT go there this morning, instead I made myself a hot cup of coffee with the office keurig and I have another chilling in the fridge. I'll have extra $$ to gambool at 2/5 PLO tomorrow!

Apparently Tim Hortons has not made its way to Boston yet? You will never step foot in a DD again.

Oh, THAT!

You are correct. I tend to write how I'd speak in posts like this, like spoken word, which is what's going on there.

No, not in Mass. I do drive by one in CT when going to FW. I've never stopped to try it because I was always put off by their term "timbits". <---what timothy calls his male parts.

Thanks for the heads up! I will report on it!

Just stay clear of the "glaze" filled timbits and you're good. But the coffee is GOAT. The thought of them sprinkling crack in the pot has crossed my mind about 4 times in my life. And the iced cap is the beez kneez too for cold drinks. Screw DD and their GD surveys

Make your own coffee, save a fortune and don't get nagged about surveys. Simple.

Or just fill out the survey negatively.

you don't even need to be rude

just say "I'm not going to take any more surveys and if you ask again, I'm burning the place down"

then if she asks again, burn it down

She will ask again so just burn it down and save the social anxiety.

If this person does genuinely own the store, then you should def be able to swindle a deal to get a free coffee to fill out the survey.

Btw, does anyone ever fill out these surveys?

I have come to really detest every form of hollow survey and transparent net-promoter-score response form. If you are providing great service or bad service there should be ample opportunities to measure it through things that are not intrusive and disruptive to your customers, increasing their happiness even more. That would be a great business idea if it isn't ubiquitous, which given how many surveys I'm sent after any type of support interaction it doesn't seem to be.
some customers would leave criticism in a cardboard suggestion box. art contests / properly run charity drives also brings out real feedback.

Disagree wholeheartedly. DD > TH pretty much across the board (donuts, coffee, sandwiches). Unfortunately, 2003 DD also > 2017 DD pretty much across the board.

Holy shiat!

I do still have the code on the receipt I got yesterday, though I did use it on a survey.

It's 55901-39015-0703-0970

You guys are incredible. If my name weren't on my avatar you'd be fixing everything else in my life that needs addressing.

They stopped making their donuts in each facility and have them shipped in now. And they're crappy now.

OP,

why not use the Dunkin app and order On-The-Go? I go to DD 5ish days a week and never once do I not use the app. First off the rewards are phenomenal, with how much you spend on coffee you should be getting 5ish free coffees a month. Secondly, the On-the-go order system is set up so when you walk into the store, your coffee is there waiting for you already, just walk right in and get it.

I live about a 4 minute walk to Dunkin, I order it the second i step out the door and it is basically always waiting for me on the counter when I walk into the store.

It may not totally solve your problem of ignoring this manager, but it should expedite your visits, and save you hella money

Plus you can get the survey emailed to you, take surveys right in the app, and be invited to future surveys from their marketing partners!

Give us the 6 digit store number from the top of the receipt and some of us devils are certain to wreak havoc upon them.
