I have read that if you puke from drinking, that it is technically considered alcohol poisoning...

How about growing up and/or improving your life so you don't feel the need to wash away all your troubles in a tsunami of booze.
How is it that you need 12 beers and vastly over due what 4 or 5 can accomplish? Getting sick and having a hangover is your body's way of telling you that you have injested too much poison, which what alcohol is to the body. Moderate amounts - euphoria; large amounts - slow suicide.

Moralfag itt.

As for the question for multi day hangovers, I usually still feel sick every monday after fri & sat of heavy drinking. That is probably due to the 'not being able to sleep'-mode I get in hangovers / shakes / sweat.
You could call them lizards' nights or w/e you call them in english

Call the pizza man (or order online), and get a pizza and a 2 liter of sprite or mountain dew... Go wild on said pizza and sprite... hangover greatly subsides, ability to sleep returns, etc.

This. Any night I have more than a few drinks, I make it my holy grail to gorge myself with as much water as possible before I sleep. I haven't been hung over in 15 years.

I don't play poker anymore, but when I did, I drank. A lot, and almost daily. But I have never gotten the shakes.

I am all about preventing the hangover. Drink better quality alcohol, water, a little reefer.

1. Drink water before bed - better yet drink a rehydrating sports drink followed by several glasses of water
2. Hot Shower. Your skin is the biggest organ in the body, it can absorb water, so a shower before bed and upon rising will allow your skin to absorb water and help rehydrate you so you feel better.
3. Vitamin B12. Take a good quality multi-vitamin before bed, or at least B Multi Vitamin. Alcohol drains B12 from your body, replacing it is a good idea. Vitamin B12 lack makes you feel down, so top up before bed
4. Sleep, lack of sleep exacerbates a hangover or is sometimes confused with a hangover. Get enough sleep. If you are partying to 6 am Friday and Saturday night there is a good chance the real bad feeling you get on Sunday is in part due to lack of sleep.
5. Eat. No food all night is going to leave you drained and feeling down the next day, try to get some solid food into you before bed and upon rising. Kebabs are an Australian favourite
6. Exercise. Speeds your metabolism and gets the toxins/intoxicants through your system quicker. A good bout of bedroom aerobics before sleep (20 minutes +), or a run first thing in the morning can really help you through the rest of the day. A quick dip in the cold ocean will also help shock you back into reality after the run - why do you think I lived at Bondi Beach all those years...

There really must be something to this, because I came here to post this photo of this hangover cure:

Tom yum.

Cousin to pho, but definitely the same idea.

I have had hangovers that have made me want to commit hara-kiri, and by the time I am through a bowl of this magnificent concoction, I am merely agitated.

This and the xanax answers are so worthless unless you provide a way of obtaining such things for the average man. I'm sure benzo's are awesome for a hangover, but I've never been able to find them in my life so quit taunting me with such ideas.

The only time I get these are when I am up for over a day and a half, and was drinking for the half a day part. I think it is more due to the lack of sleep than the 20+ drinks I had.

Fatty, salty food + water imo. Used to take Tylenol, too, but that's not so good for your liver...

Not from booze alone. But can easily happen when you also do speed or Ecstacy...

A high dose of diazepam when you still have non-negligible blood/alcohol is a really bad idea.

Hold a bowling ball over your head and drop it on your foot. Doesn't matter left or right...works the same with either one. Your foot will hurt so bad you forget all about your hangover.

Don't own a bowling ball? Dump the nearest ashtray into a glass of stale beer, stir, then down it like a shot. That should get the puking started...which is what you need to climb out of it.
