if we could poinpoint the exact time we swapped universes it would go a long way towards figuring out how the swap was made

a moment that has always stuck with me as a "glitch" was when i was in 1st or 2nd grade, in the library period of elementary school (we went to the library in the school once a week to check out some books). Anyway, it was at the end of the period and the teacher was just talking to the students. She asked a question and a girl responded "George Washington" I wish i could remember the question itself, but all i can remember was it was definitely NOT the right answer. I can remember getting that "WTF?" look on my face and looking around but no one else in the class was disturbed by the girl's response at all, they all thought she gave the correct answer. but i know that she didn't. It wasn't a case of me just being dumb either, the question was something where George Washington would make no sense as a response whatsoever, like "What's 5 times 4? Oh, George Washington!. To this day I always think back to that moment as the strangest most inexplicable moment of my entire life

tl;dr: I was temporarily ported into a parallel universe during elementary school library where George Washington was the correct answer to 5*4

People saying "I remember the A" or looking at pictures are missing the point.

When the timeline changed, all the e's actually became a's. It even did in your memories. It was supposed to in all of our memories, but it clearly didn't which is why this is such a big deal.

Wood,

Under hypnosis, some people can remember the exact instance where they started reading the book with an E and when they put it down they were like wait wtf it's an A!? There's no reasonable explanation for that other than parallel universe switching.

I remember it every solidly as Bernstein. You could have won money off me with Berenstein or Berenstain.

C'mon, "Bernstein" would be ridiculous, as it doesn't even sound like "Bear". The whole point of it is the name sounding a good last name for a bear family; I'm sure that's how the writers originally got the idea.

I never made the bear connection once. I always just called them "The Bernstein Bears" in my mind. I really feel like I could poll my friends and they'd say the same thing.

Yeah this. Just like how no one in Seinfeld or Friends was originally Jewish when the shows started.

Id milk every tit I could find and put it all on there being people who seriously believe the parallel reality explanation.

How can you discount it so easily? I have yet to see a single piece of evidence contradicting that theory.

Are you now claiming that in the other universe the bears' surname was Berenstain / Berenstein? Their surname was Bear, and now I'm doubting that you ever read the books at all.

No, actually I didn't read the books as a child, but I may have read them once or twice to my little sister. I just assumed the last name of the bear family was that. Even if not, I'm still sure that's how the authors got the idea.

In a somewhat strange coincidence, we had a pet bear when I was a child. One day, he peed on the carpet. The mark is still there. If this evidence doesn't contradict the universe-switching theory, I don't know what does.

The true mind-blowing question is: How the hell did Rastamouse hijack El D's account?

I thought about asking my wife about this the other day but I thought better of it. What if it was always spelled with an A for her? Better to not know.

This discovery doesn't just prove the existence of a parallel universe, it proves the existence of the soul. If our consciousness and memories were just emergent phenomena stemming from interactions between neurons in the brain, then our memories would have switched over too, and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Sweet
