I wouldn't be surprised if the manager was in on it or just wouldn't care when you reported it. If you really wanted to report it, you would have to call the owners.

Of course. There's also a chance this guy is just completely incompetent, but people would rather get their panties in a knot about things that do not concern them and jump to conclusions.

Yes, let's jump to more conclusions and further assume that not only is this guy stealing, but everyone else in the place is stealing too. Lol, please.

PHB I don't know if you're on drugs or something lately but you're making less and less sense as the days go on. These are terrible and nonsensical analogies.

Please elaborate on that, thanks.
El D,

I know you know what leakage is. Any business is going to have it, and any business owner is going to account for it. Your employees are going to **** up sometimes. Someone's going to steal something. Your leakage is never going to be 0, and that's part of the reason people employed in places like this are paid so ****ty.

For instance, I work at a cash only business with no register. People, of course, will occasionally steal. Rather than stringently hire honest people and pay them a decent wage, our owner decides to just pay 8.00/hr and eat the occasional loss from theft and let the problems sort themselves out. And what do you know, they usually do. People who steal eventually get fired.

Not that that's how everyone should run their business, but it is one way. If this guy is actually stealing (which I'll say for the 100th time, we don't even ****ing know) he's almost certain to get caught eventually and that's just another reason people need to mind their own business rather than cause trouble for a dude that probably isn't doing so great in life anyway.

I do know that most restaurants take pretty good inventory, and that this kind of thing wouldn't be easy to get away with for any period of time or for any significant amount of money.

yes, jmakin. Everybody steals. There isn't a single person out there who would want that job and not steal $40 a night. You are right. Just ignore and move on.

J,

At most bars/restaurants it is really simple to get away with this for significant amounts of money pretty much forever.

J,

I wouldn't turn him in because I don't really care enough to bother, but **** your attitude of "he's paid a ****ty wage, nbd if he's stealing."

Mind your ****ing business. You have no idea if this guy is stealing. Even if he is, do you really want to make a miserable person's life more miserable? He will undoubtedly be caught if he's as bumbling as he sounds; let nature take its course

I feel like almost everyone I know that works in the service industry would disagree but I'll ask around next time I see someone. At a chain fast food place I imagine they do things differently than a mom and pop diner, but for drinks it would be easy to do. A local bar had this problem so they measure their bottle amounts at the beginning/end of night to stop their bartenders from either stealing or over pouring.

Well, that's not my main point, but it is one of them, but that seems like an oversimplification of my view on the matter.

If you paid people a living wage theft would go down considerably.

J,

Yeah I don't really know about fast food places, I bet you're right and it's prob quite a bit harder there.

Bottle measuring is pretty common, but a million ways to get around that.

I don't understand the "mind your own business" crowd. The person whose business it is (the owner of the franchise)... do you expect him to be there at all hours of operation so that he can mind his business? That is entirely unreasonable. Nothing wrong with tipping a business owner off to a scumbag employee. And I also don't get the "why make some guy's bad life worse?"

What? Who cares. If he's fired, perhaps someone who doesn't steal will have the opportunity to have that job and it will make their life better. And to top it off, they won't be stealing! Crazy how that might work out for the better!

Buncha thieves itt methinks. If you tards ever own a business someday I'm pretty sure you'd love to get tipped off to a thieving employee.

Source?

A woman got busted for embezzling $6 Million from her company over 4 years because she was in charge of A/R. Her reasoning? "I didn't think they paid me enough". Even after a million free dollars she felt underpaid. LOLZ.

Character flaws don't go away that easily bro.

The person whose business it is presumably has controls set up against theft, like any other business does. Which is why this guy will get caught if he is stealing. So, you'd report him. We get it. What do you want, a cookie? If doing so makes you feel better about yourself, by all means do it. But again, we don't know this guy is stealing and that's the main reason I feel like nothing should be done.

Yes, some lucky fellow can now be employed at the graveyard shift at the Carl's Jr. His life will be forever altered.

How would he know he has to hire security if nobody tells him about the theft? Also lol @ hiring security at a fast food restaurant. Jesus. Just fire the clown and do it in front of his co-workers to set an example then move on.

You cannot have it both ways. You cannot say "don't make this poor guy's life worse by having him lose his job" then claim that "lol @ anybody wanting this job!! DERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRP"

Dear lord you are really a bad poster. I never noticed before. I just saw everyone laugh at you but now I see why.
