take a screenshot of the desktop and then set that as the background. then remove all the icons from the desktop and laugh as they try to click what they think are icons. pretty funny to see in person

I think a funny thing to do would be to hide someone's desktop icons. You might be saying to yourself "well, that would be somewhat annoying" and you would be correct. But here's the kicker: beforehand, you have taken a screenshot of their desktop and have now set that screenshot as their desktop wallpaper. Now you might be wondering, "why would that be a fun thing to do to their computer?" Well, imagine the scenario in which they need to access one of their desktop icons and attempt to double-click it. Unbeknownst to them, they are merely clicking on a representation of the icon and not the icon itself (because you had previously hid it)! A good chuckle will be had by all.

Yeah people are getting way too technical. Just open up their desktop and put in a small alarm watch or their cell phone or take a **** in it.

If you sit near someone (e.g. cubicle mates), hang a USB wireless keyboard dongle off the back of their machine. Put the keyboard on your desk somewhere. Occasionally tap the Shift key a few times. This is especially good while they are typing a password.

haha, this reminds me of an internship i had during college at an engineering firm.

a lot of the old school guys would still type hunt-n-peck style. since i probably couldn't pull off any of the hacker style autoexec.bat crap above, i actually pried the keys off for M and N and swapped them.

took the guy about 5 minutes to figure out; since the keyboard was also covered in poo! lolololololololol
