Not that it's really any different, but are you sure they weren't doing Facebook Live? I seem to be seeing that a lot more than Facetime. Especially in touristy areas. Everybody wants to catch the next shooting live!

I don't use any social media except linkedin, and that site is becoming more useless by the day.

Doubt it, because they all had the receiving end of the call on speakerphone blasting away.

In a mall it's less rude than in a restaurant of course. Still a bit strange to* me though.

*not too!

How on earth is it rude to have a Facetime call in a mall? In a restaurant, sure, but a mall? There's no expectation of quiet in a mall.

I'd find a speakerphone conversation or FaceTime call where the receiver is away from your ear to be rude in any public setting. But I'm kind of old school on these kinds of things.

Wait people still use linkedin? Isn't that like ebay or livejournal or friendster or something?

People need to STFU in general when in public. Especially any kind of public transportation like the metro/subway systems. You guys are giving me flashbacks of the DC metro system now. Haven't been on it in years and can only imagine how horrible it must be with everyone yelling into their phones nonstop.

People also need to stop constantly posting extreme close up selfies of just their face with literally nothing else in the frame. No one wants to see your face. jfc. One of my friends started doing some #selfieaday thing and I am on the verge of unfollowing despite the usual cool stuff they post. Have already unfollowed multiple people for committing this crime. Haven't told them because if you're the kind of person who does this, you are certainly also the kind of person who can't handle being told not to do it.

Why the **** do people think anyone would constantly want to see extreme closeups of their face? What is wrong with people

Pretty sure most USA#1ers are now permanently afflicted with narcissistic special snowflake little emperor syndrome disorder.

Great, now I'm tilted. Thanks a lot, OOT

Linkedin is where most jobs are posted, so it's always going to be useful. I look people up on linkedin all the time, as I want to know who I am having meetings with.

Never used facetime or facebook broadcast. I didn't even realise that people make phone calls any more.

Linkedin is still used a lot

I hadn't thought of this before, but it's interesting to me. Only reason I know what LinkedIn is is because it's usually a pretty high Google search result. Don't think I've ever once heard someone talk about it in person.

do any of you non linkediners have real office jobs?
02-24-2017 , 02:57 PM
I know it's socially acceptable now to take photos of basically anything in public now, but I just can't do it, it feels embarrassing. I can't even imagine taking a selfie in public.

Is that to hide her face when she sends her nudes out?

His daughter is something like 7 years old. Time flies and all, so maybe 10 I dunno, but I think she's a little kid.

Maybe one day I'll do something notable and bribe Mat to delete my account and they'll all be "guest post".

Tuma,
Don't beat yourself up too much. Some of us have been around long enough to remember your early work
