Yeah. I'm Grown Little Man is killer, but each subsequent special is like a worse and worse caricature of himself.

Watched this and maybe it's because I'm a brit and it was filmed in London but I thought it was great. I wasn't constantly laughing but thoroughly enjoyed it.

Loved Louis Ck and Mike Birbiglia's new specials and thought Dave Chappelle's were decent.

However I had to stop watching Neil Brennan's 3 mics, I just found it depressing.

Just saw Russell Howard, such a surreal experience. He performed to 300 people here tonight in a tiny room. He mentioned that back home he does 12,000, and he just decided to come to try new material and experience Canada (and really enjoyed the anonymity of being able to walk in the street). He was schedule for an hour and wound up doing way way over 2 hours. Just talking to the crowd, destroying people in the audience, etc... I found he was nothing like what he must portray himself as on TV in England. His social commentary was amazing and he opened up a lot about his personal life and fears. Fear of death, fear that all he does doesn't matter. Admitted to discovering weed late in life to help him with all that stuff. He spent a ton of time just asking the crowd questions and learning about culture here and how comedy was different here.

Overall the first hour was the best hour of comedy I've seen this year (which includes seeing everybody), and the second hour was just him not wanting to get off stage and doing a lot of crowd work and testing out new jokes. Anyway I think his mind is the sharpest since Robin Williams. There's nobody in the world who can come up with jokes as fast as him and deliver improve like it was a polished act. Super happy I went.

I just got back from the Jon Lovitz show at Talking Stick (Scottsdale). What I expected was Jon Lovitz and that's just what I got. Turns out he's a real pro at this, very funny, with excellent delivery. Plus he can play the piano nicely and has a decent singing voice. So, if you get the chance, go see him if he comes by your town.

Saw Dave Attell in NJ last night. Hilarious as always. Great to be able to see him live so close to home. Comic named Mike Finoia opened, wasn't familiar with him but he was great also. Fantastic show.

Lucky you - love dave. He is amazing.

Also, Norm McDonald just released a show on Netflix. Not hilarious, but has its moment. If you like his delivery, you won't be disappointed. Its classic Norm.

Really lookin forward to Mark Normand's Comedy central special tonight. He is one of the most consistently funny guys I hear on all the different Sirius shows that used to be O&A.

Seeing him live tonight, hoping it's some material he's worked on since taping (in addition to polished stuff).

Rewatched Louis CK's 2017, liked it a lot better on 2nd viewing. Last half was superior to the first imo, the Magic Mike bit was fantastic and the highlight for me.

Was not a fan of Burr's new Walk Your Way Out special on Netflix. Not particularly funny. The Hitler bit and the cruise ship/overpopulation bits were both interminably long and you could feel him losing the audience. The audience was pretty dead overall but the material was not very good so can't really blame them. I like Bill but this was a weak effort from him.

I listened to Michael Che's netflix special at work this morning and thought it was outstanding. Did the same with Louis's new special and thought it was good, not great. Che really surprised me though.
