Even if there were zero stigma attached to having a porn background (which will never happen), it would be almost purely coincidental if a pornstar turned out to be a talented actress.

As Thremp said porn acting and real acting are just completely different skillsets with almost no overlap, especially the way porn is done these days (usually no characters, dialogue, no plot... which is imo clearly the way to go). Pretty much the only overlap is the exhibitionist tendencies.

On the other hand it's possible to coast into real acting just by having the right looks, which is why I said you would expect porn actresses to be less good-looking than real actresses. (Or "good-looking" if you want to get nitty)

I am surprised at how many really good looking porn stars there are these days. I would have thought they could have easily become a millionaire's trophy wife instead of porn, but I guess they like their independence.....or something.

Don't most of them come out of towns in the middle of nowhere? I think that has something to do with it.

i don't know why people like porn stars or professionally done porn movie. feels really fake to me. I personally prefer amateur vids or home made porn by real amateurs.
