I'm not sure if you all been hearing the news, but apparently some people are getting truly messed up from vaping. As far as my own research goes, the main culprit is Vitamin E acetate, which is mainly found in black-market CBD oil.

Even though this isn't about nic vaping, I'm afraid the regulation is going to make this party-over.

So many people have walked up to me, including outright strangers, asking if I heard about his situation at all. If I have time, I'm more than happy to discuss what it's actually about. To my shock, many people are well-aware of "the Vitamin E thing."

The web is super unhelpful regarding the actual information. There's an appalling amount of misinformation about what vaping is, and so much of it is agenda-based.

this is really pissing me off. can't remember last time i smoked an actual cigarette.

CDC claims 8th vaping death, ummm how many cigarette related deaths have accumulated over that time period.

the conspiracy theorist in me thinks that this is all part of big tobacco's master plan to get their customers back.

it's all over the news, and i never watch the news. it's also the youngsters ruining it for us all, but again, when i was a teenager 20 years ago guess what kids smoked cigs.

the real deadly combination is kids + thc + yummy flavors = vaping is the devil

i vape openly and proudly almost wherever i go. and i get looks, and if i'm in a certain type of area and god for bid someone gets a whiff of what i'm vaping, they're equating me to smoking a cigarette in an indoor restaurant next to a table with a family with 3 kids.

all this misunderstanding and misinformation is really unfortunate and worries me deeply.

vaping is so much more cost effective, and when you find your reliable vendors, flavors, and devices, it's hard not to do the math in your head about how much you're saving.

Yeah this whole thing is total BS. Every single fatality has been traced to black market THC carts using vitamin E acetate oil yet the media is running with the whole "vaping fatalities" thing. It disgusting that even if 7 deaths were attributed to actual vaping (and they're not!), there are still thousands every year that die to cigarette smoking. The media only wants clicks and fear mongering so they are scaring people that vape back to cigarettes

I'm a bystander to all this vapegate stuff but I am with you Andrew Beal.

Yes. Because big-vape is where all the astroturfing money comes from.

Vaping is doing a pretty good job of killing short term users at the moment. wtg. much quicker than tobacco ever killed people.

But to be really be successful they need to come up with a way to vape oxycontin. then the death toll would be really impressive.

i have a back issue that i got scanned for a few years ago and nothing showed up on my lungs. and it would be hard to calculate vaping's effects since i was a long time cigarette/weed smoker.

put it this way, when i was smoking a pack of newports a day, walking up stairs or for any significant distance was a struggle. those issue are totally gone.

not saying vaping is "good" i'm just aware of the huge gap there is between cigs and vaping having done both for years.

I know this is atted to Andre Beal, but pbursardo did have his lungs checked. He's one of the most long-running vaping YouTube channels on the internet. His lungs look like ex-smoker's lungs.

There has been many studies done (mainly in Europe), where they've done xrays and various other tests. They've found that it takes about 5 years to get to "non-smoking" shape, and they have not found any difference between vapers and those who quit outright.

The reason the US found out about vitamin e acetate so "quickly" was because of the Europeans. Europe knew about this issue for a few months prior. It goes to show how the current political climate is causing slow-pony syndrome.
