Def. take a pic of that build if you want to. I'd like to hear how it turns out.

The Ucan is this:

It's nice because juice won't leak anywhere. It is a pain in the ass to use if you don't know how though.

The Ucan looks pretty cool. I may pick one up. Thanks for the info.

Very interesting, looks like a doubled-up Kayfun. I am curious, does the chimney separate in two like in the Kayfun? It looks like it will not but that's an important part of my build process.
That looks very similar to the goblin, just smaller air holes.

Anyone here have Egrip? Been using it for about three weeks now and love it. Both the size and draw are great.

Also just switched to flavorless juice which is way cheaper.

For anyone considering this buy. Just note that it doesn't pour out super fast. I wouldn't try to fill 7mils with it.

Also, don't use it like a syringe, which is how you'd think to use it. I hold mine at the top with my fingers and push the button with the palm of my hands. This is one-hand tactic and if it doesn't make sense, I could take a picture later on.

i'm still hooked on '555' from hotvapes http://www.hotvapes.com/store/liquid...avors/555.html. i vape it at 12w with a aerotank mega on a sigelei 100w box and it feels just like a marlboro red to me.

but i don't buy it online. for whatever reason, they charge $18 for 34ml online, but at my local place it's only $12.50

surprised/happy they'd seem to rather push you to a distributor/store though.

So I've got a Subtank with 1.2 coils, and an Eleaf 30w. They are performing very well but I'm really surprised by the coil life span. After 5-6ml's of the Mount baker liquid I'm using most of the flavor disappears and the coil has tons of ashe in it, sometimes going out the tip. This normal for the new subtank coils?

Depends on the juice, usually. I find the darker the juice the quicker the coils gunk up. I'd suggest doing a dry burn to get the excess buildup off the coils. Take the wick out and pulse the mod a few times to get the coil glowing orange. You can do this a few times before having to replace the coil.

I just got a KBOX 40w after my IPV mini broke down. I've bought 4 RDA's recently. 3 of them were clones and I couldn't get any of them to work properly. The Reomizer that I got for my REO is the only one that gives me a proper vape. However, I dropped it while attached to the REO a few times and I think I've bent it so that when I screw it in to the mod, it doesn't screw in straight, but good enough to work on the KBOX.

Can anyone recommend an RDA that's guaranteed to work? A non-clone that's not going to be too expensive? I can't afford any of these high end RDA's. The Reomizer cost $47 but I'd prefer to spend 30-40$. I'm just afraid of getting something that wouldn't work like those three RDAs (Little Boy, Derringer, and one other).

I have about a dozen or so RDAs and have only been using the Infinite V2 for the last couple months. Works perfectly , holds a lot of juice, and easy to build on for around $30 and it's not a clone afaik. There's a version 3 out there now but I haven't used it.

Btw, I have a lot of clones and pretty much all of them work fine, are you sure you're building your coils/wicks correctly?

So I upgraded to the aspire premium starter kit. It's basically a nautilus mini on a vv battery. I'll let you guys know how it is when I get it!

I got that kit for a client of mine and he loves it, looks pretty cool too. Good luck!

Actually, I'm not really sure about my coil building skills. But this afternoon I took the Reomizer and built a coil using a new gauge of wire and a wider coil than I'm accustomed to (I've always used a 1/16th drill bit) and it's the best setup I've ever made. So I don't know if I was doing anything wrong on the other ones. Pretty weird though that I couldn't make it work for 3 different RDAs.

I'll pick up that infinite V3. Thanks for the suggestion.

Bob, the link in gave you was for the V2 not the V3(I think) . I just saw Grimm Green's review for the V3 and he seems to love it though

Just got the V3 on ebay after searching for it. I was looking at the picture and realized that I never used the O-rings that came with those RDAs. Are those necessary? Where do you put them?

The O rings are probably just spares. They are typically used to secure the top cap onto the base. I'm sure the V3 already has the O rings installed. If you want, YouTube "Grimmgreen" and check out his review for the Infinite V3

I'm watching some woman reviewing it on YouTube and realized that I only get 40W max on this KBOX device. Aren't these RDAs for sub-ohm vaping? The coil in the Reomizer is something like .85 ohms and I'm vaping at 8W. At 13W it's a bit much. Vaping now, it's no longer the best build I've ever made. What ohms should I use with 8W or 13W? I don't think the reomizer is made for this kind of mod. It was made to use with the REO, which isn't a device for sub-ohm vaping.

As you can tell, I don't really know what I'm doing/saying. I can make a coil, but I don't really know how to match the ohms and wattage. Can you recommend a site that will teach me this? Do I need to get a new mod with more wattage?

40 watts should be plenty, you're good there. One thing I might add is that RDAs are pretty much designed for direct lung inhaling. They typically have a more airy draw than tanks or clearomizers. If you are used to something like an Aspire tank an RDA will take some getting used to but well worth it imo.
I've learned a lot about coil building from Rip Trippers videos. Try searching his youtube page for "micro coil build" or "macro coil build"

Also, you might want to start with a build that's around 1 ohm or so, it doesn't have to be perfect. Just make sure you pay attention how to make a good coil and to wick it properly. For the wick you should be using organic cotton imo, Japanese cotton is a favorite amongst most builders if you want to get some online (gen-kon-do (spelling might be wrong) is one of the most popular /best) . Regular organic cotton from the local CVS or Walgreens is ok too.

Also, what gauge of Kanthal (wire) are you using?
E-cig Thread: Alternative to Smoking Quote
03-17-2015 , 09:47 PM
I just got some 26 gauge Royal Wire. Before I was using 30g Kanthal. For this coil I wrapped it around 6 times with something larger than the 1/16" drill bit. Came out to .48 ohms. I've never used tanks or clearos, just this Reomizer thing that I got while using the Reo devices. Then I wanted to get into variable wattage so I got the IPV Mini until it broke and went through those 3 RDAs. The Reomizer was the only one that ever worked. So I got the KBOX the other day with the Derringer RDA which didn't work, and now I'm using the Reomizer on it. Yeah and the japanese cotton, I've got that.

I also have some of these twisted wires that I hoped would work, but I can't seem to make a decent coil with those.

This coil at 13W is working pretty well right now, but I don't think it's ideal. I really want to vape the way I see people doing in these videos. Looks like fun. Maybe I'm doing it already, I don't know.

After using VapeJoose for a bit, I have to say that I'm somewhat satisfied with it, with a slight caveat.

The quality of the ingredients seems pretty high-quality, meaning that it never made me cough like I did with Dr. Crimmy. It also has a nice strong flavor and a generally smooth throat-hit (if you are still into that). It did fine on the dripper when I was using it as well.

The smell is overwhelming, but in a pleasurable way, and each bottle has a very distinct scent. The issue is that they all taste the same. I have Hollywood Blackout (which smells like cough syrup, yuck), Cherry Cola, and California Cherry. They all taste exactly the same. The Energy Drink smells like an energy drink, but tastes nothing like it, and honestly, the flavor is pretty gross. But overall, it doesn't seem to matter. If I was given a blind taste test, 90% of everything would taste the same. Maybe my taste buds are failing me, but I'm not sure.

Overall, I'd give this about a 7 / 10, mainly losing on the hard-to-decipher flavors, and winning for a very high quality-to-price ratio.

Bob, not sure what the Reomizer is so I can't help you there. Sounds like you have all the materials you need. Try watching Rip Trippers videos on coil building, they started me off very well. It is strange to me that you are vaping at such a low wattage but that might be what the Reomizer performs well at. For instance, I vape my Aspire Nautilus at 15-17 watts but I'll vape my RDA with a 0.2 ohm build at 60 watts. Definitely experiment with wattage when your new Infinite comes in. Typically the higher ohms of your atomizer the lower wattage you use and vice versa.

03-17-2015 , 10:19 PM
Bob, also, remember that your Kbox needs the atomizer to be 0.4 ohms or higher for safety
