It's getting better but for years in CA (at least) weed shops just hired the hottest girls possible regardless of their weed knowledge which would leave customers (and patients) woefully under-informed and unhelped. Often the alternative to the hot girl stoned to the gills who has little weed knowledge would be some Russian or Armenian or Israeli guy in a track suit who speaks anywhere from fluent to very broken english. However, that guy or his family usually owns the shop and he knows what is what and if he likes you will give you some great hook ups.

what'd you end up doing? I typically just mail an eighth to myself when traveling w/ the wife or brother; it's always waiting for me at the hotel. Went to Hawaii w/ the in-laws last year so had to bring it with-- parchment folded up obv, small ziploc, inside greeting card, sealed envelope, then stuck the envelope w/ a bunch of other identical looking ones inside a folder. Tossed that in my checked bags, easy peasy. Wish I coulda brought my rig but had to settle for vape pen by the pool lol.

obv nug is a whole different story-- too stinky and bulky

Flying out Sunday. Gonna take it with me. Have around 4 gs in the bottom of a carmex container. Wrapped in wax paper obv. Found a round piece of white plastic that fit the inside of the jar perfectly so that's on top of the wax and then a thin layer of Carmex is back on top of that. Can't tell the difference between it and a jar full of just Carmex sitting side by side. Pretty confident that I'll be fine..

Not happy about having to go with just a pen but I think I might be able to hit a head shop while Im there to pick up a cheapo. Just found out today that we are only working 4 day weeks so I get a three day weekend to explore new Orleans by myself. Should be a pretty good trip

JoshK will out smoke me with ease. But I think he may be a little jealous about the drinking situation. He got tired of hearing his wife talk about how impressed(turned on?) she is with how much I can drink and still keep my **** together, so he was out to prove a point last Friday. He kept up on beer count for the most part, but he struggled with the "keep my **** together" part. Good times for sure.

Last night went to a friends. Got so high I forgot I was high. Then I got even higher. Ended up having to crash on his couch. Oil rigs are no joke. I'm in a weird place where the bud is ineffective yet have no desire to dab for a while. Maybe I'll have a glass of wine and read some Warren Buffet tonight.

haha pretty sure I've been in that place before too Tuma... gpen/puffco etc for concentrates even at home was my go-to during that time...got that nice clean oil high w/out the sometimes too-intense rush after a big glob.

Also like I told BH a while back-- you might have been dabbing way too hot if it put you outta commission entirely lol.. GLGL

Any reliable methods for getting a quartz banger the right temp? The headshop guy told me if the wax melts it's right, if it chars it's too hot. Iirc you are the guy who takes low temp dabs. What's the secret? My method is burn off the residue, wait 30 seconds then dab.
