Re: The Dark Knight Rises
hathaway is the perfect catwoman, especially if he does it more as a more realistic cat burglar type of villain
she's very sexy and a great actress and a perfect definition of vixen imo

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I thought he'd get around the forced lack of Joker by using Harley Quinn, still could I guess.

If they need a third Cillian back as Scarecrow makes sense to me given he is a developed character needing no real backstory and it provides another link throughout all three of the Nolan films. That said i doubt he will go for more than Bane and Catwoman.
Thinking Harvey shouldnt have died kinda makes me think you didnt understand the end of Dark Knight.

I meant I wish he hadn't died to preserve a good villain.
Bane is a good villain. I just don't feel Catwoman is needed at all.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
People who don't really follow the Batman mythology outside of the movies have no idea who Bane is though.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Seriously.
I know Bane is a big strong guy and that's it. Seems like boring stock comic book bad guy #3.
Catwoman is slightly boring and stock in her own way- but it strikes me as a lot more interesting at face value.
I'd still like to hear a more detailed objection to Catwoman than what we're getting in this thread. I just don't understand where that's coming from.

Which is why they can do pretty much anything they want and it wont effect the bottom line and people's enjoyment whatsoever.
Plus who knew who Scarecrow and Ra's al Ghul (which i had to lookup and so would most people) were before Begins came out?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
The avg population of OOT is a little old to be surprised that people didn't watch the animated series. (which from what little I saw, and what I've read, was very good)

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Really? 1992 to 1995.
How old are some of you?
Batman is right there with Gargoyles as being a total bad ass animated show for kids.

I believe this is a great summary of Bane from Wikipedia...
Quote:
Bane is highly intelligent; in "Bane of the Demon", Ra al Ghul says that Bane "has a mind equal to the greatest he has known."[7] In prison, he taught himself various scientific disciplines equal to the level of understanding of leading experts in those fields.[4] He knows six active languages and at least two additional arcane and dead ones, those mentioned are Spanish, English, Urdu, Persian, and Latin.[7] The "Bane of the Demon" storyline reveals that he has a photographic memory. Within one year, he is able to deduce Batman's secret identity.[7]
Although extremely dangerous at all times, Bane is perfectly sane and in control of his mind and actions—a trait that separates him from many of Batman's enemies. While he generally acts as a villain, Bane has worked alongside Batman at times and developed a great respect for the Dark Knight. He is also one of the few villains of Batman to have learned his true identity.
He is also highly devious and a superb strategist and tactician.[4] In prison, Bane also invented his own form of calisthenics, meditation, and a unique fighting style.
|
Only problem with Bane is he looks kinda ridiculous for the Nolan series. Like Scarecrow I imagine and hope they will alter his appearance considerably from the comics to this film.
