On outer shell, I'd probably put Carrie Underwood atop the hotness list. But "likeliest to go crazy in the sack" is clearly Miranda Lambert. While I love Taylor Swift and could look at her all day, I have to place her 3rd personally for failure to win either of these categories.

It's a hell of a hot list when I can concoct a reasonable argument to place Taylor Swift third. And for someone like Sara Evans to be a non-competitor.

This is for the people who still listen to the Western in Country and Western music.

I had to include Dick Overby, the best steel guitar player going.

And the Louvin Brothers.

One of my favorite country tunes with the Bakersfield sound by the late great Wynn Stewart.

Her first husband was such a fool. Before the bad times ever came in their marriage, she once said this in a magazine interview.

Quote:
“It’s most important to keep marriage and family together. I am a child of divorce, and it’s devastating. I have a 12-year marriage. And the way I see it, the way to an amazing marriage is having sex … lots of sex. Sex keeps the marriage young. And a woman should maintain herself for her husband and stay attractive. I like to put the kids to bed, have a glass of wine on the patio or by the fireplace, and I ask Craig, ‘What do you need of me?’”

Glen Campbell's music, specifically Wichita Linemen like someone else said, is amazing in such a way that I probably won't hear it again after today for another ten years and it will still be just as awesome then. Nice song drop there. I don't like country music in general but my Dad does and I would like to submit the Elvis Presley song "Kentucky Rain" as a forgotten classic. maybe thats not country tho, oh well.
Also, Johnny and Bob Dylan "Girl From the North Country"

Pretty much sums up today's country music scene:

Couldn't hit country with a baseball bat, indeed.

There's like 2 acts in country music that write they own songs: Toby Keith and Sugarland. Pretty sad statement for the rest of these posers that make so-called country music

...there are way more country artists than that who write their own stuff. The old-timers, George and Reba, are the only ones who come to mind who basically never do. Okay, Tim McGraw too. I never liked him much anyway.

*Note* They have better quality videos but don't want you to have to go to youtube to watch so didn't post their 'vevo' videos.

Crazy-Casey Donahew. Very badass in concert. Their songs keep getting better & better. This is my favorite from them just because we've all dealt w/ 'crazy' haha.

Oh Tonight- Josh Abbott & Kacey Musgraves. Josh Abbott is in beast mode his entire last album. Check him out. Don't want to link their 'vevo' accounts so finding best quality non 'vevo'.

Buy Myself A Chance - Randy Rogers Band. They've been the biggest in Texas since Pat Greens departure in 2005. But they're becoming more mainstream, perforiming on all of the tonight shows & currently touring with Miranda Lambert. But all of their stuff is great.

Reckless Love-Sean McConnell. Just listen. He is just a badass singer/songwriter.

Oklahoma Breakdown - Stoney LaRue. His best song & easily top 5 songs of the past 10 years for 'Texas Country' Music.

Ballad Of A Southern Man - Whiskey Myers. Just check out all of their music. Legit.

Barefoot & Crazy - Jack Ingram.

Crazy Girl - Eli Young Band

A Girl Like You - Curtis Grimes. Have been a huge fan way before he appeared on NBC's 'The Voice'. He's just a young kid having a good time. Check all of his music out.

Carnival Lights - Dirty River Boys

Bumping this thread because of a few bands I've been in to recently:

Duane Steele. There's not a lot of his stuff on youtube, as he is a little bit more classic and local to western Canada. He definitely has an early 90's, Clint Black-ish style with a deeper voice.

Also, Dean Brody. Another Canadian artist that is getting bigger and bigger every day. He's got some fantastic music. I saw him in a beer gardens show two years ago, and I thought he was pretty solid. Then, I bought both of his CDs and they were just great. He hasn't put out a bad song yet.

Pretty much just find the website for your local FM country station and find the little tab that says " Last Songs Played".

Go with that.
