I cook all of my steaks on a propane grill. I can not compete with the steaks posted itt. Having said that,
these Grill Grates will give you a hotter cooking surface than you can otherwise get. (They are also available on Amazon with a ton of reviews there.)
I recently got a couple to place on top of my original grates. I put that side of the grill on high heat with very low or no heat on the "original" side. I put the steaks on the side with only original grates at very low heat for several minutes and then toss them on the Grill Grates which are much, much hotter.
I have been pleased with the early results even though I am still in the "experimental stage." However, I have not yet bothered to use a meat thermometer, but I am finding that is going to be necessary to determine when to move the steaks to the hotter side.
