Yeah I hate all of those.

"You spend all this time researching the perfect car, then you wrap it around a tree. No one's hurt, but there will still be pain; your insurance company raises your rates. Guess you should have spent more time researching them."

Just with such an obvious, "Or...you could have spent time learning to drive." But also legit makes me wonder what these people imagine the world to be like. Not just the characters portrayed, but the receptive audience, the actors reading the script, the ad agency coming up with this pitch and the insurance company agreeing that they want to market themselves as the company that will never attempt to recoup costs.

And I always get this company mixed up with Allstate anyway, due to the "So you say women aren't good dri--SILENCE! See I went 6 months without an accident, in your face bitch!" commercial. Honestly, any of these could have that voiceover break in at any moment and I wouldn't even notice.

DriveTime Ads which parody semi-popular songs to try and attract people with terrible credit but a retail asst. manager job that pays $20/hr.

BK ad where the sklar twins argue about which terrible meal deal is better. Has anyone gotten more mileage out of being twins?

Commercial length infomercials (call now and get the second one free!) for various products have been around forever. Suddenly some task force apparently decided that the spoken dialog in all of these commercials needs to rhyme. Truly, truly awful.

It's been a couple months since I've read this thread, and now that I'm catching up, I can't believe no one has mentioned the commercial with the floating severed children's heads singing "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow." How it is that none of the numerous people involved in creating this spot didn't just stop at some point during the process and say, "Wait a minute, guys. Hold up. What the **** are we doing right now?" is mind-boggling. I'd rather watch Donald Trump taking a **** from the toilet's pov than this commercial. I hope whoever ok'ed it gets raped by a bear wearing a condom made of shards of glass.

I don't feel like I've seen it.

Fairly sure you'd watch the president makes moves irrespective of this commercial.

I could probably put this in the things that piss you off but shouldn't thread. There's a Principal TV commercial where a couple has a kid at a young age and it shows them all growing up over the next 18 years. They save with Principal and decide "we can do this" and send their son off to college. The next shot is the mom alone in the audience standing and clapping as her son crosses the stage and receives his college diploma. When I first saw this I thought, "Wow, what a ballsy commercial. They killed off the dad without even so much as hinting at an illness or accident. They really went for it, nice work Principal." But then the dad crosses the stage next (receiving his very own diploma at the same time!) and that's the commercial.
