It's that the writers are trying so hard to attempt a kids say the darndest things. But the writers have no idea what kids say.

She's still a bitch that is taking credit for work someone else did. Tilts me just looking at her/a person like that.

First off its for the Samsung galaxy s3 second that girl is from workaholics and third I think that was the whole point, she took credit for something she didn't do and now she's stuck at work for being a bitch.

Not just because it's more pleasant to so so, but because the cacophony of bull**** vomiting out from my TV during commercials - any commercial - makes me angry and almost ill.

It's the same with radio when I'm in my car. I refuse to listen to even one second of any add. It just pisses me off.

...Perhaps I need not some anger management training.
Nah I do this in the car. Local sports radio sucks because it's loaded with stupid small business pitches. I just flip back to FM then go back to AM later. LOL @ listening to some idiot talk about how you need new windows or freon in your A/C.

I'm sure I've muted the TV during commercial breaks and/or changed the channel when something tilt-worthy comes on. In general though, specific people on TV shows are more likely to make me insta-change the channel. Like the moment Deion Sanders starts talking on NFL Network, or Dilfer on ESPN post-game (I never watch ESPN otherwise), I must flip th channel. Life is way too short to listen to some dickbag paid clown on TV.

One of the worst decisions of all time. This one was bad. Not even bad in the "HEY PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT OUR COMPANY AT LEAST!" way. Bad in the "Gross, now when I see a Quizno's sub I think about a dead rat." way. I'm pretty sure I went to eat Quizno's noticeably less-often specifically because of these old commercials. GJ, GE Quizno's. 75 MBAs who make $100K a year put their heads together and came up with that.

Not so much because it's an annoying commercial per se, but the new Hampton's commercial that shows the clean sheets and a guy picking up a bagged breakfast at the front desk got really old, really quick when they showed it at least 2x EVERY COMMERCIAL BREAK of a recent Bowl game. Obviously it was a ****ty Bowl game and they were desperate for advertising revenue, but FFS don't show the same goddamn commercial 50x in a single game.

Oh sht, she's from workaholics and its a Samsung galaxy, that makes it all better, what was I thinking. Yeah, I get the point she gets stuck with more work, the fact is it's a character who is a POS, I don't like looking at POS, they tilt the fvck out of me.

Agreed. Everyone in that ad is an annoying tard. I don't understand ads that feature annoying tards using the product. The takeaway, for me at least, is that if you use this product you, too, are probably an annoying tard.

The problem with Quiznos runs much deeper than the talking sock-rats from like six years ago: it's that they include the ****ing sound of people chewing at the end with their goddamn logo!

Now I've finally trained myself to flip channels or mute when a Quiznos commercial comes on, so it's possible they fixed this in the last couple of years. But for the first decade or so of their existence (at least), Quiznos commercials would end with "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm... Toasty" showing up on the screen, one block of consonants at a time. And each appearing "Mmm" would be accompanied by the sound of someone taking a loud bite out of a sandwich. In other words, every commercial ended with you simulating the experience of sitting next to someone who is chewing with their mouth open. It's, in a word, disgusting.

Kit Kat has started up a similar ad campaign, wherein instead of a catchy jingle they treat you to the sound of dozens of people chewing. The one I've seen (playing during the NFL this weekend) is the same idea as this:

I should have never opened this thread, now I'm much more angry and slightly more nauseated than I was before. That said, searching for the YouTube commercial did lead me to this knock-off which was worth an lol

This one perplexed the **** out of me when I first saw it. They took a pretty good format (cute girl decked out in pink walking towards you talking about the product) and said "NO WAY WE NEED TO RUIN THIS ****!"

So they removed the chick (I guess "she" is on the bike but you cannot see her face or anything), and added a terrible poem that sounds like they gave a 12 year old ten minutes to come up with.

PUGEOT SOUND and MIAMI

The way she emphasizes the first syllable in Miami makes me want to kill ad execs. Congrats T-Mobile for completely ruining your ad campaign. No really, well done.

The part that tilts me (besides the fact that the rest of the day all I hear in my head is "1, 2, Kalamazoo" etc.) is the fact that "3, 4, Jersey Shore" is illustrated with her riding down some quiet little road with beautiful sand dunes and a quaint lighthouse, i.e. a scene that exists nowhere here in my fair state.

But anyway, yeah, pretty much the nut low for various reasons.

The thing that makes me nuts about it (besides the whole thing being ****ing stupid--THE PRETTY GIRL IS ON A NINJA BIKE WHICH IS FAST LIKE OUR CELLULAR SERVICE GET IT) is how they went out of their way to make the rhymes in the jingle as awkward and near-rhymey as possible. The nine/Anaheim thing seriously makes me want to murder someone

I'd say the "6/West Phoenix" is the most rageworthy rhyme. The echo as she says "Anaheim" is what makes me want to punch children.

Oh God yeah that's bad too. Also tilt-worthy: is West Phoenix really a place? Like, I know Phoenix exists and therefore there must be a western part of it, but afaik it's not like East St. Louis or North Las Vegas or w/e

Yeah when I first heard that I thought "I have never heard of West Phoenix. They must mean western Phoenix but obviously that doesn't work as well."

I actually just wiki'd it when making my last post and it says it's a neighborhood. lol T-Mobile.

I am quickly approaching the same boat, but I think the only thing I watch live anymore is sports, and even then I'll often pause for the first 30-45 minutes to make sure i can fastforward through commercials.

This reminds me: a couple of weeks ago I DVR'd something that got pre-empted. It was on CBS so I went to their website. I was dismayed to find that in their episode streaming, the little ticks on the progress bar no longer represent one commercial, but five of the damn things. Five! Now, to Dominic's point above, I have started immediately muting the commercials and firing up a game of hearts or some such to pass the two minutes. But to add insult to injury, every time the 3rd of 4th commercial actually loaded a separate kind of page-within-a-page, and it un-muted itself!

So yes... very tilting.

(BTW, can someone explain to me why CBS will let me watch full episodes of TV shows on my laptop or desktop, but not my iPad? They are dead-set against me relaxing comfortably in bed while watching their show over the internet?)

If there is anything good about the YouTube commercials it's that in almost 100% of cases, the "Skip Ad" button can be clicked before you even have to see the name of the company or the product they are selling. LOL @ these clowns. How do you ad on YT and not throw the product name or company name out in the first 5 seconds? ****ing fish.
