This just reminded me of the car commercial where the husband is freaking out trying to cook dinner and watch the kids while his wife is sitting in the car giving him instructions but tells him shes stuck in traffic.

Ahh yes the ubiquitous fresh-faced, mixed-race black girl with the 'fro. McDonalds has been using her since the mid-90s when mixing races became OK. And she's been in every other commercial since then. It might be 1 lady who is in all the commercials but yeah it's tilting. It's like "we get it - you are trying to kill 2 birds with 1 stone - now go kill yourselves for thinking you are brilliant."

EvilSteve, the last several years we've seen a rise in commercials where husbands are huge pussies and their wives own them. The Yoplait (or is it Dannon?) yogurt commercials are like that, as are many others. LOL women. They can have the commercials we'll enjoy the real life.

They're not randoms, they're actors. It's a completely scripted bit.

I've been hitting a pretty good stretch lately where I've been getting the various "here are the 92 side-effects of taking our awesome medication for depression/restless-leg/whatever" followed immediately by a lawyer trying to round up as many people as possible for his lawsuit against a different drug "have you taken yaz and experienced side-effects such as bleeding, ulcers or dying? You may be entitled to compensation. Call 1-800-BAD-DRUG"

I hate both sides, and more specifically, the commercials from both sides. I want them to just sue each other into oblivion.

The anti-smoking ads that are running in some sports events and elsewhere are the worst. No, I don't want to see some guy with a whole in his throat or hear other creepy-electro-voice-box people nor do I want to see some old, naked woman who can't move.

MLB.tv (shows all the baseball games on the internet) shows this ad over and over. It's freaking awful. I understand you are going for shock-value here. But it's inappropriate and annoying.

I hate breast cancer awareness PSAs they run all the time. My wife got breast cancer a few years ago. I can tell you the last thing you want to see when watching TV is a commercial that comes on to remind you that you have a serious disease and might die.

The worst was one with Lynn Redgrave, an older actress famous in her time. She went on about "I want to die from eating chocolate; or die from laughing, etc, etc, then ends with her saying "but I will not die from breast cancer".

So when my wife was watching TV and had a few moments to lose herself in a funny show, and forget about her chemo/radiation for a little while, that ****ing commercial comes on. Thanks a lot.

Of course, then a few months later Ms Redgrave actually did die from breast cancer, and it was on the news. So my wife then feels like if a millionaire actress who has access to all the best doctors and treatment in the world still dies after treatment, then what chance does she have.

**** those ****ing cancer commercials. They aren't helpful at all.

You wouldn't believe how much ad time he buys up. Where I used to live you couldnt go an hour watching tv or listening to the radio without at least one of his commercials coming on, usually more.

Came her to complain about the Geico taste test commercials. If it didn't require time that could be better spent posting on 2p2, I would switch from Geico.

From what I understand, this band is (was) an actual band that entered a contest to replace the "old" freecreditreport.com band (which was semi-entertaining, probably because it wasn't an actual band). Basically they sold out before ever becoming famous. I did not think that was possible.

I kind of want to bag on the new anti-smoking ads with the neckhole crew, but the part where the guy says don't bend over you'll lose the food from your stomach saves it for me. I like the idea of his lunch falling out of his neckhole.

In Texas you can get title loans on your car. There's a place called TitleMax and they have commercials with their jingle "get your title back with Titlemax" that infuriates me to no end. Obv you are GIVING them your title in exchange for the loan and don't get it back until you pay off the loan. They make it sound like they are doing you a favor and obv prey on poor/uneducated people.

OMG that reminds me of those baby commercials with Jimmy Fallon. I had blocked those out.

Any commercial where a kid makes facial gestures 5 years past anything they should be able to makes me want to kill things.
