Decent hangars.

I basically have two hangar types. One for suits or coats, one for everything else. Makes closet a lot neater and easier to deal with. Some benefits to the clothes too.

Had this discussion with my wife:

Her: "if we don't shred this, people will have our address!"

Me: "You do realize they can get our address just by looking at our house, right?"

I can understand shredding things with account numbers and such on it. But she was shredding junk mail where the only identifier on it was our address.

Definitely agree with this. Keep the house in relatively good shape, so you don't need them every week. But the once a month (or two) deep clean is great.

I'm not picky about the kind of hangars I store my planes/clothes in.

Name + address is different. They can use that to look online to try to apply for credit etc. Plus whatever else they learned about you from the trash.

What do you think of the gel pad Suzz? You can slip it in the pillowcase or sleep with it on top. It does get warm in the middle of the night as you wake up since it absorbs body heat. Move it or flip it and it should be better. Refrigerate to make it super cold and you can even put it in the freezer though it will be stiff for a while.

Got one of these as recommended in EDF, love it. Perfect for my purposes though I can see it not being optimal for a lot of people.

I haven't had the chance to try it yet - I had to run out. It's pretty cold in my apartment right now, so I will probably have to wait until it's warm to get the most out of it.

Well, that's why I try them on before buying them. I don't order shoes online unless I already know my size in that brand.

less subtle, still an A

I personally love my goose down jacket. It's ultra light but is very durable and keeps me warm in sub zero temperatures. You can get a decent one in the UK for £100-150, which I think is very reasonable given the cost of any kind of jacket these days.

I forgot to add socks. I haven't worn anything but brand new socks for over 5 years now.
I buy them in bulk online and they come in a package of 90 for $49.99. I usually buy 4 boxes every 6 months.

Nothing feels better than peeling off my socks after a long day and just throwing them in the trash.

Yeah I don't use mine from nov to march, but the other months I use it every night.

I recall some guy doing this and getting severe rashes on his feet since some unwashed clothing tends to have some sort of chemical on them. Not bad to do every once in a while but every day...

Should at least donate them.

For a truly luxurious experience, hire someone to burn your socks for you

always wanted to do the socks thing, but that seems like the kind of incredibly unnecessary thing you'd do if you were a millionaire. how nice can those bulk socks be, wouldn't it be better to just have 40 pairs of $10 socks? got a link?

I guess the fact that I was all my clothes before wearing them is a cheap luxury. Cuz I would never dream of wearing clothes with all the dye and chemicals still fresh on them.

Window tinting

Always have it done, always totally worth the expense since it lasts the life of the car (if you pay someone decent to do it), provides some cooling and privacy, and looks good for pretty much any paint job.

Socks thing seems pretty bad. Gotta think comfort would be improved a ton just getting 30-40 pairs of super high quality socks that will last you a very long time instead of dropping thousands on disposable socks over the years

lol...I was kidding about the socks. Thought it was too ridiculous to be believed.
