What celebrities have you met? Were they douchebags? I'll start off - though my list doesn't have much actual celebrity power...

Anthony Michael Hall - met him at a bar and he was cool as hell. He shot the s*** with me and my friend for a while and took pictures with us afterwards.

Clive Barker - Also a nice guy. I met him at a movie convention and he was very polite.

Hedo Turkoglu - I ran into him at a Walgreens in Orlando back when he was playing for the Magic. He seemed like an okay guy.

Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains) - SUPER nice dude. Talked to me and my friends for way longer than I expected him to.

... aaaand GO.

My dad used to run a restaurant and about 20 years ago Rolf Harris came in with a large group. My dad told me that he was one of the rudest most obnoxious ****s he'd ever had to deal with. I was surprised because he was practically a national treasure at that time.

Saw Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel in a restaurant/cafe near a ski resort about a decade ago.

Jessica was pretty standoffish and didn't want to be bothered. Justin was cool though and wanted to talk for a few minutes.

It may have helped that my buddy had a 'dick in a box' shirt on at the time which was an amazing coincidence.

Met Johnny Knoxville at the bar I worked at in Charlotte when he was filming Bad Grandpa. My buddy was actually dropping off a package at Dilworth packaging a day or two prior to me meeting him, and walked into the whole shipping his grandson in a box prank (never made the film or bonus features). He was really down to earth and came in about 3-5 times. Always ordered a round of Miller light for the people he was with, but when he asked for them he said, "Let me get one more round of Miller's Lights", like Miller was out back brewing that sh*t.

He was just making up names. Right?

I saw G Gordon Liddy once. Youngsters probably have no idea who he is. One of his famous lines was when it looked like Watergate was about to come crashing down, and he had a central role in it, he said "If you need to kill me, tell me what street corner to stand on and I'll be there". Badass. He didn't want anyone in his family to get hit by a stray bullet.

I saw him when he was walking around with a small entourage, and somebody knew one of the guys and called out. Gordo just stood there waiting for them, and I talked to him for a minute. Extremely friendly and soft spoken, but I could sense he would kill me in a second if need be, even though I had 4 inches and 50 pounds on him.

I almost bumped into Truman Capote once as I was leaving a store on 1st Avenue. I said excuse me and he said "Oh that's all right." He was very nice about it.

Shaun Weiss ( Goldberg the goalie from The Mighty Ducks, Josh Burnbalm in Heavyweights ) is my brother in law. Through him we have met all types of celebs. Including my hero Ron Jeremy.

When I was younger, I worked on the HVAC at Joan Rivers house. She actually gave both of us a $100 tip.

Flew home from Tokyo in JAL F with Bob Saget last month. Didn't talk to him though.

Hmm. Goldberg finally starting to look like his name fits. Until the bar mitzvah jokes in MD1 I thought he was, like, Mexican.

I've played poker with "Rip" Hamilton. He was friendly and lost a couple of stacks to me before hitting 2 outs and winning a chunk back. Lots of ppl were there that day for a private tournament - Joakim Noah, bunch of Bulls, Omarosa, some singers.

I've met a dozen baseball and hockey players working at a restaurant. They usually tip well and are super polite.

Went to high school with a C level TV star. Used to fool around with his current long term gf/wife.

Dennis rodman is a regular customer where I work and is pretty damn hilarious. Completely, obviously insane. He mutters to himself a lot and I can never understand what he's saying. When he's lit he's really outgoing to everyone, likes to be recognized.

I lived in the same building as him during (after?) his divorce and we kinda became friendly. He was actually a really good neighbor, I sort of expected the worst cause all I knew about him was his TV personality.

I met a lot of famous people when I was active in the poker scene, and honestly don't have any horror stories of bad behavior like you often read in these threads.

My freshman roommate ****ed the chick who played Rhonda on Saved by the Bell while I was silently jerking off... err sleeping... in the top bunk.

I encountered Abe Vigoda on a plane - couldn't have been nicer.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I was once literally the first to board a shuttle flight from Boston to NYC and somehow on the plane already seated and settled in was a guy who looked exactly like Tiger Woods, complete with Nike cap. This was pretty early on, when he was definitely well known but not a mega, mega star that even your grandma would recognize. I sit in the row in front of him and lean back to say "you look an awful lot like Tiger Woods." He just says in respone "No I don't. I'm not him. F*ck off." So I left him alone, but sure enough I was able to confirm he was in NYC the next say, so it had to be him. It's not like there are a lot of cablanasian (his word, not mine) guys that age in Nike hats who just happen to be already on flights when they start to board, AMIRITE.

He's really cool, my dream is having a drink with him (which is not out of the realm of possibility) and just getting into some crazy ****.

Played softball with a bunch back in '91 and '92...highlight was turning a double play from short with Joan Jett at 2B...have absolutely no clue who was playing 1B for us for that one. Meatloaf pitched in the first game. Sat next to Fee Waybill for the Astros game that was on the field before us...

Didn't get to really spend much time with him, but Sam Kinison was playing for the morning show in that first game. This was when he was just getting his personal life cleaned up...he was lost far too soon.

Biggest ******* on set I ever saw was Don Johnson...Kevin Costner, on the other hand, was quite cool and really did hit MOST of his own golf shots in Tin Cup.

There have been others through the years but never really made a big deal of gushing over them...having had my own moments in the spotlight, I realize that they are just people, albeit people who often make more than me.

Oh, and I have issued a parole violator's warrant for a former NFL player who had been sentenced to pen time in Texas and had been released to supervision...seems he failed to abide by his schedule after permission to leave the State for some ESPN-related event.

I met Penn from Penn and Teller in AC once. I got on the elevator and he came on right behind me. I was like "Wow, nice to meet you!" He asked if I was going to see his show. I said I had no idea he was performing. He said "Yea, in about 20 minutes and pulled out 2 passes. Sat in the front row. He and Teller stayed after and signed autographs for everyone. Really cool guy.

Also got cut off on the Sawgrass Expressway in S Florida by Dan Marino. Only reason I know it was him was because the exit was a mile down the road and when I got off the highway, the light was still red and I pulled up next to him. I looked over and he was just looking straight ahead the entire time.
