Re: bowling

I used to bowl pretty regularly and averaged just over 200. Moved to Macau over 3 years ago and have been bowling 4 times since. The last time though I ruined all chance of ever prop betting when I shot 150 the first game and 241 the second game(house ball and shoes)

Brag: shot 241
Beat: I didn't make any prop bets and I was bowling with DURR

Re: bowling

Another bowling brush with fame: I refinished the lanes at the MGM Grand in Reno in the 80's. Lost a pay check at Circus Circus playin drunk Baccarat.

I would call poker a sport before calling bowling a sport.

Re: bowling

well if we are talking rock n bowl then its not a sport. If we are talking about having to bowl 12 game blocks on a flat oil pattern then it is a sport

As easy as tenpin bowling is relative to other sports, duckpin bowling is frustratingly difficult. The best part about duckpin bowling is that most of the few remaining neighborhood alleys allow you to bring your own alcoholic beverages.

Re: bowling

The wife got me a ball for the bday last year. And shoes. Having your own bowling shoes is boss. I kinda suck, but I throw the ball straight which is never gonna work in the long term. Bowling with ****ty house balls and bad shoes at 0300 after a day at the WSOP doesn't help your average.

One alley in Reno has this "wall of fame" where they list all the 300 games. They also have a much longer list of all the "290+" games. wtf- who wants to be on that list? choker.

Re: bowling

What makes one bowling ball better than the other? All I can think of is friction/smoothness.

Re: bowling

was bowling make up started good with 264 but my thumb wasn't a fitting quite right and pro shop was closed and I had no more bowlers tape or new skin ripped open thumb pretty bad 2nd frame of first game and that took my release to **** barely finished above 600 with a 601. My thumb is so much smaller then it is when all my **** was drilled. On a side note it feels like they put a good amount more oil now then they did even in 2004 but can't be sure since I didn't bowl in the house I bowl at now in 204.
end ramble
