Moving in July 31st. Need all new stuff, from plates and knives to recommendations on trimmer/edgers and self-propelled lawnmowers. Also, would like some cool unique possibly high tech decor stuff. I want things that visitors will think are cool. The house also has a living room where one whole wall is a bookcase. Thinking I'd probably go books by the foot to fill it partially but some other cool things to display would be nice.

Pick up a set of encyclopedias if you need some books to fill your shelves. You can usually find them for free or dirt cheap on craigslist. As convenient and fast as the internet/wikipedia is, having hard copies of info is useful.

my cousin has a badass backyard with a pool and those rock speakers. ppl are always amazed when music randomly starts playing without an apparent source.
