It's supremely likely that at some point in time there were actresses who hoped sleeping with Cosby might help their career, and DS is suggesting that when it did not, their reflection on what happened became predator-prey instead of symbiosis.
If someone in a position of power or influence is using that power to get people to have sex with them in the hopes of a future reward, that isn't really "symbiosis". It's still predatory. If a boss suggests that a person who reports to them might get a promotion or a bonus by having sex, that's not a fair and mutually beneficial exchange. If Crosby implied that sex with him would mean he would advance a woman's career, not to mention the explicit or implicit threat about what he might do to their careers if they did
not have sex with him, that can hardly be characterized as a fair exchange followed by buyers remorse.
