It sounded like one of those words that people make up on the fly, like when so many people pluralize any word ending in -us, -es, or -is by dropping the last two letters and adding -i. We all know that the plural of alumnus is alumni, but then you'll hear, for example, someone pluralize penis as peni (long i).

I think I'm still annoyed from earlier this year at how quickly I bit on Dylan Farrow's accusations against Woody Allen in her famous open letter in the NY Times. I read her letter and it darn near made me cry. So sad, so detailed, so compelling, and so f*cked up by Allen, do to that to his adoptive daughter. Well shortly after, we hear the other side of the story, and suddenly, I feel like a sucker. Not that what she claims isn't true, it's just that there is Woody's side which to me casts plenty of doubt.

So just now I read that list of 13 accounts/accusations. Considering each one individually, I didn't find any of them particularly compelling. Disgusting and horrible if true? Absolutely. But do the accounts contain anything, other than emotion, that leads me to think they are true (or false)? To me they don't.

Having said that, when you take them all together I suppose they do gain some credibility, but to me it still doesn't get there. He said/she said issues just have to be solved in court. It sucks so so bad for victims, but sadly its true.

So I'll remain a skeptic for now.

By "remain a skeptic" you mean it's more likely than not untrue, right? So you're saying there's at least a 51% chance 13 different women are lying about Bill Cosby?

Some rich dude was in the news recently because he adopted his girlfriend after being forced to put millions in trust for his kids after a divorce. So his sugar baby becomes one of his "kids" and gets a share of the trust.

An appeals court tossed the adoption because it was so ridiculous. Shockingly, the same guy was recently sentenced to 16 years for killing a guy in a drunk driving accident. IIRC he hit someone and knocked their car into the water and rather than help him not drown rich dude fled the scene.
