Nothing more hilarious than driving on a road whose speed limit goes up or down 5 MPH just because I crossed town limits. But yeah, I'm sure the road really changed. I'm sure all those "scientific" minds at the local government office really scientifically set speed limits. Hence why you see you see limits arbitrarily change when changing towns or speed limits randomly changing one day on roadways that had absolutely no roadwork done to them. Geniuses at work.
I posted as much a few posts later and the post you quoted was somewhat tongue in cheek. In spite of that, what would your method be? That every idiot decided for themselves what speed they wanted to drive at?
We have defined rules, because it is required. I don't like them either, I would prefer to smash everybody in my way with my crash bars, but people tend to complain. I've advised our lawmakers to give me a time when only I can be out on the road driving, but young people are so selfish they can't even extend me that small courtesy.
I tell you, I just can't get any respect...
