Had you posted in the fast food thread where this belongs, you would have seen that I also had a spicy chicken biscuit for breakfast.

This reminds me that I'm about 2 months away from a triumphant return to Pine State Biscuits where I will probably have a Reggie with a pop tart to go.

I've never gotten people who have the same thing for breakfast (or lunch/dinner) every day. I can't even do that **** for a week without getting sick of it.

It's just so much easier than deciding what to eat on a meal-by-meal basis.

When I went through my big weight loss thing food really just became fuel to me. It's not an activity, or something I need to particularly enjoy. Also, my stomach gets upset if I eat lots of random stuff. So it just makes a ton of sense for me to have the same thing every day. When I'm ready to eat, it's right there. There was definitely a time in my life that I wouldn't have wanted to eat like this, but it really works for me now.

OK so that's pretty weird. Weight loss: not censored. Try typing it with a hyphen.

Cmon, stop trying to bypass the profanity filter. Some of us are at work.

I go through phases with what food I desire. I'll crave Italian for a while and cook tons of that, I went on a smashed burger craze recently which went well. Right now I'm all about ramens and curries.

The wind where I'm at is NW 24 mph, I'm on the corner of the third floor and I feel like I'm in a wind tunnel. How the **** these guys play golf in this is beyond me.

My first job right out of college was at a consulting firm in Atlanta. The 1.5 years I was at that company, the only things I ever saw my boss have for lunch were:

Grilled chicken sandwich at cafe in the office building.
or
Grilled chicken sandwich at a restaurant nearby that people in the office would usually go to for team lunches.
or
BK broiler.

That was it. I thought that was pretty crazy.

When you guys go out to eat at a regular place, do you try different dishes or stick with your favorite? When I'd eat out at lunch for work and go to the same place a couple of times a week I'd switch it up, but if it's a once every month or two type place, once I find something really good I usually get the same thing every time.
04-06-2017 , 06:05 PM
Greg,

Similar to you. Sometimes I'll go out of my way to go to a once every month or two place again a few days after I just went because I know if I wait a few weeks I'll just get my favorite thing again.

Except for when I'm traveling

Breakfast - a yogurt and a banana, everyday.
Lunch - turkey, ham, or roast beef sandwich, 5 or 6 days a week.

Variety in food is highly over-rated.

Do we really need a new thread every time some quasi-famous old dies?
Whats the point? To make sure everyone knows that they are, in fact, dead?

Meh, maybe this should go in TTPYOBS

There was a catch-all thread for everyone below a certain fame threshold, but only really famous people have died since.

I still want to make a catch-all thread of RIP if you are less important than "xxxxxxx", but get your own thread if more.

Who was the x, I forget? Diablo mentioned it I believe a couple LC's ago.

Pretty sure you changed one of the threads to RIP George Michael and below (probably the RIP George Michael thread...).

Looks like today was biscuit day. Rarely eat them myself, but when I do, I don't mess around. Behold, earlier today:

If you want a biscuit, can't go wrong going to BISCUIT WORLD amirite?

Obv went with sausage gravy:

Hardly ever eat breakfast but when I was a kid and made to it was usually a banana or eggs and soldiers or porridge.

ordered a sirloin steak at a sports bar as a child because it said 'steak' on the menu. i was unamused to find out that at cherished neighborhood restaurants, there are things strictly off limits!

I'm a boring eater like some others in this thread, with the excepition of Saturday's when I play golf or am traveling, I eat oatmeal with mango for breakfast and baked chicken breast with green beans for lunch every single day. I'm a bit more flexible with dinner. Usually will make zucchini and peppers or pan fry a turkey patty and broccoli. Saturday nights usually involve a steak.

Def mix it up...I had a co-worker who gets camarones a la diabla every time we went to any Mexican place for lunch whereas I shoot for whatever I haven't had the last couple of lunches
