The poor dog next door cries all day and then when his owner gets home all the owner does is yell at him. He's a nice dog too, I feel really bad for him.

dognap and replace with a piñata made from counterfeit paper mache. fill with chocolate coins to your heart's content, and a note that reads "my friend tuma wouldn't like how you treat animals. next time i will let him know."

That actually was a similar plan to the one I had in my head!

The dog cries because it misses Old Salamano next door though.

great minds tend to think alike, although in this case it would be abjectly not applicable!

Steal him and love him. The dog that is, not Tuma.

Terrible life that poor dog is living.

that would be extraordinarily brave, like hall of fame worthy.

(re-naming the hall of fame that is)

If it's all day most days could that be grounds for involving the RSPCA?

I really just wanted to drop the semi-obscure literary reference.

Could someone leaving their dog at home while they most likely are at work be considered animal cruelty? Lol
04-29-2017 , 11:54 AM
Yeah probably not, just feel really bad for these poor animals that have these ****ty owners.

Got a letter in the mail from my life insurance carrier telling me that my annual premium ($1 million term, 20 year policy with supposedly flat premiums) was going from about $900 to $9,003. This should be an interesting conversation on Monday.

what? that has to be a mistake. Noone would pay that.
04-29-2017 , 10:52 PM
Yeah it's probably only going from $900 to $903.

Yeah I'm not saying the animal is being abused badly or anything but it just makes me sad hearing it cry. I talk to him through the fence sometimes and he stops crying then. I've had periods where both myself and Mr Rexx worked full time and had a dog and she had to go for periods by herself but I would never yell at her if I got home and she was crying(not that she did when I got home, she was just super excited) and I would try and compensate by walking her before and after work and she pretty much went everywhere with us on days off and was an inside dog when we were home. Luckily for us our friends were doggy people, plus she was super well-behaved so that helped.

Idk I just think dogs are social creatures and need some company/interaction with their owners. Maybe not abusive but I personally think it is neglectful to just get a dog and chuck it in the backyard and not spend time with it and walk it etc. Why bother getting a dog?

Has anyone* on the forum threatened to shoot you in the face? Was the threat deemed credible?

Of course not, many dog owners need to do this. Leaving your dog home alone all day outside, if they don't want to be there, is animal cruelty IMO. This dog crying all day means they do not want to be outside alone all day. Rexx talking to him calms him down, that's all you need to know.

Steal him Rexx and burn the neighbors house down

No credible threats that I can recall. Although now I'm feeling like I shouldn't have told them about my family's relocation to Pyongyang.

Dogs should be put to work instead of lazing around all day imo. The Germans raise their shepherds this way.
