Have you tried DropBox?

I had to use it for something for work and it seems like a really efficient way to sync stuff between my ipad, work computer and home computer.

Now I just need to get Citrix working.

I haven't tried it yet, but may for some personal files. I try to stay away from these for my work files though.

Re: Apple iPad Thread

I'm surprised no mention of Hulu's new $10 per month service and it working on the iPad.

Here are my thoughts.....

lol. F U Hulu. Just give me a damn app that I can view the FREE content that everyone else can view today. Want $5 for it? Fine, take it. But take your monthly fees for tv shows with advertisements and shove them.

Yeah, I downloaded the app in hopes that they do something like the above. Got the app, and you get to watch what everyone else can, and you have the option of paying for more. Not going to hold my breath though.

WTF By-Tor, you have me on ignore or something? You know I'm a fan of your work!

Yes, I think that even your average consumer will be annoyed by such a transparent "double-dip" (both sub fees and ads) - it will be interesting to see how this all unfolds and what take rates will look like for Hulu.

The idea here is that Hulu Plus is viewable on all your devices with premium content to the free service (mainly, all current season eps plus more library). Hulu Plus' main competitor is really the NetFlix streaming service. The free Hulu will continue to serve the needs of people who want to catch up on-line for recently missed episodes of current season, with some library.

With that in mind, how do you see the Netflix and Hulu Plus stacking up against each other? I think it's close, and not all that duplicative - there will be a small population paying for both services...

re: Hulu

Wait, so I download the app, then I have to request an invite which will allow me to sign up to pay $10/mo to watch Hulu content that is free on the PC and I *STILL* have to watch ads?

Why the **** do they require an invite to sign up for the $10/mo service?

Wow. That's sick. Didn't even realize those Eye-Fi cards existed. Awesome.

Re: Apple iPad Thread

Returned the 3G unit tonight. I'd had locked up on me twice in 3-days with the 'hour glass' and apple logo displayed.

Took me about 15 minutes to return, another 45 minutes or so to restore, boom, back to normal with a new unit.

Also, dodo let me keep the power adapter and cord from the new box, so bonus!
