Was there something in particular that made you think you could do this?

There is an app called MyStream that supposedly allows streaming from one iOS device to another iOS device. I haven't used it myself.

With respect to the original question of streaming from an android device directly to an iOS device or vice versa, I'm not aware of how it can be done, but it could be possible and I'm just not aware of it.

Why do you need to stream from droid to iPad?
Typically a2dp is used with speakers and headphones. As for that connection you setup, no idea frankly if any use.

music takes up space.
i want that space free for my movie collection.
when i want to stream music it would be sweet to stream it wirelessly therefore having access to the music i have on my droid without using up memory on my ipad.

Not saying this helps you, but that is the whole idea of iCloud. If you have all the music on iTunes and you are paying for iTunes match, you can stream your music anywhere you have internet access. Given you can also download and delete easily it could allow you to manage when you don't have internet access and want a bit of music. Not perfect but that is the idea behind the cloud.

Re: Apple iPad Thread
Finally played with a new iPad today, and now I want one.
I have the original 16g wifi only. Prices on ebay are in the mid 200's. Seems crazy, but if I can upgrade to the new one for less than $300 that's a steal. Anyone sold an original one lately?

Re: Apple iPad Thread
I saw that the Slingbox app for the iPad is on sale for $15. Normal price is $30 and has never been on sale before.
In the past I've used the free laptop app. I figured it was worth $15 for the iPad app.
Wow, I'm impressed. It's almost like having your DVR built into your laptop. Assuming your slingbox is connected to it. The DVR interface is a smidge slow but tolerable.
Best features are that the app works with airplay and the video-out cables. Makes it VERY easy to put your DVR content on any TV near you including my minivan LCD screens.
Assuming sufficient bandwidth this includes your car, McDonalds, hotels, or any place that can give you about 500kb/sec.
Edit: BTW, this also assumes you own a slingbox ($150)...

Re: Apple iPad Thread
There are tons of ways to get your cable to work on the ipad without a sling box. HBO, ESPN, and showtime all have ipad apps. You just need to log in with your cable provider information.

My cable company (Cox Cable) restricts access to only my home network.
Plus a slingbox gives you direct access to your DVR and has zero recurring costs. (Outside cellphone bill)

Apple has the refurb new iPads now for 450...same 1 year warranty so no reason to pay 500 if you want 16gb wifi

There wont be another 10" iPad in september
At best a 7" iPad for 299, ipad2 for 399 and ipad3 for 499
But his 1st gen ipad will drop in resale value
If you want a retina 10" iPad then do it now...if you might want a 7" iPad them wait

Re: Apple iPad Thread
What are some of the must have apps? I find myself mostly using sports apps like sportstap and stupid games like boggle and angry birds. I need some new stuff.
