Re: Apple iPad Thread
I've been very happy with "Noteshelf" and stopped looking for anything else after I downloaded that. I hadn't tried too many others, but it's got palm protection (and very good protection at that, I've never had an issue with it), and the ability to "zoom in", so you have the document that you're working on in the top 2/3 of the screen, and the input in the bottom 1/3--zoomed in, so that you can write as big as you need to for legible handwriting but then the display is smaller so that you can fit more than 8 lines of text on a page.

a ton imo. that's one very bad thing about the app store imo. it's pretty confusing if you don't know what you're doing.
speaking of people who don't know what they're doing, in the standard twitter ipad app, how do i make it so when i click someone's tweet i see number of retweets / favourites / any replies that people have made? when i'm using twitter.com on a pc and click this happens, on the app it just brings up the tweet and the person's profile below that, but i think i've seen it the desired way in the past. surely there's a way?

Afaik, you can't.
Just one of the many reasons I use Tweetbot instead (you just have to swipe to the right to view conversation, and there is a 'view retweets' button.) In general, it's just a much cleaner interface that gives the user more options.

Re: Apple iPad Thread

Re: Apple iPad Thread
ya first review i see on tweetbot :
Blows the completion out of the water. Finally a way to see properly indexed conversations and replies. Why can so few Twitter clients on the iPad do this? Not even the official app does it!

Re: Apple iPad Thread
Someone just gave me an original iPad that is still on 4.3.3. Do I want to update it to 5.1.1?

Re: Apple iPad Thread
I don't need to worry about performance? I had a pretty terrible experience with the iPhone 3G and iOS4 awhile back.

Re: Apple iPad Thread
ok i feel like a total idiot but someone please help.
so i've paired and connected my droidX with my ipad2 but i have no clue how to stream the music from my droidX onto my ipad so i can listen thru the ipad.
i've tried googling but all that comes up is people trying to figure out how to pair/connect their device to the ipad.
i've figured that out no prob but can't seem to do anything now that they're connected.
also am i correct in my assumption that aside from a2dp streaming there isn't much else i can do with this connection?
there's no way to use my wifi only ipad2 as a phone correct (aside from skype).
is there anything else i can do via bluetooth besides pictures/music with my droid connected to the ipad?
thanks.

Save the blobs first!!!!! (A painless move)
Then if you don't like 5.1.1, you can always go back to 4.3.3

Re: Apple iPad Thread
This is nitty but since I have the 4 digit password turned on, the extra step of swipe to unlock annoys me. Should be swipe if passlock not engaged, just password no swipe otherwise.

I am fairly certain there is no way to stream music from an iPhone to an iPad much less from another device. Just because you can get a bluetooth connection doesn't mean audio streaming is possible. Think only streaming you can do is from iPad via bluetooth is to an output devices (speakers or headphones).
Was there something in particular that made you think you could do this?

Re: Apple iPad Thread
i read on some apple forum that ipad2 supported a2dp streaming.
so what is the point of pairing the droidx to the ipad2? is there anything you can do with that connection?

I think it does, but haven't ever heard of two devices of this nature using that protocol to stream from one to the other. The whole idea behind a2dp is to stream from a device with content to one without. It is pretty much assumed that if you have a droid and an iPad you should be able to have the same content on each. Why do you need to stream from droid to iPad?
Typically a2dp is used with speakers and headphones. As for that connection you setup, no idea frankly if any use.
