Did you read the article? It looks like this is totally on the networks end.

Gawker Media wouldn't coat it otherwise, they can barely hold back their contempt for Apple since the backlash from Jobs about the whole 4g leak.

I hadn't read the article. While I've done so now, it is nevertheless my opinion that the responsibility ultimately lies with Apple. They require users to submit their email address (for "activation"), after all. I think that is unnecessary for a tablet device. To be fair, it seems fairly likely that Android tablets may similarly require users to activate their device using their email address. I call bs on this.

Just wondering if you got this yet or if can login to your skunkworks account to provide a review.

Haven't even gotten my ipad yet, but i've downloaded like 70 apps. My girlfriend is a speech therapist that does early intervention with 2 yr olds and works with a lot of physically disabled kids with limited motor control, and she's thinking of getting an ipad for work. Apparently there are tons of apps for different speech tools and even the different little kid games are hugely helpful since you don't even need to have the strength to depress a button.

The iPhone taught my friends kid how to read. Pretty awesome apps available for child development.

This is really sad but I'll answer for Gayloysius. He likes the antiglare protector, especially because it provides a matte surface on the screen but doesn't affect the touch sensitivity. It holds onto the screen via static cling. I'll probably end up picking one up myself.

My mom is a speech therapist as well. One of her specialists is augmentative communication and she's been blown away by the tools available for the ipad/pod.

There's a $200 ap that does some symbol to speech stuff called Proloquo2 that you can use instead of actually buying their device for $650. Stuff like that is pretty ****ing huge.

How is it to install? I've got an iPhone, and have gotten those screen protectors that AT+T sells (seems like there's some stickiness to them, but I'm not sure, they are easy and not messy to take off the phone). I seem to always get it slightly misaligned, and picking it back up and placing it down again gets dust and other stuff under it, causing air bubbles.

I can handle paying $10, and getting 1-2 decent/good installs (and messing up 1-2), but I'd hate to pay $25 for one and messing it up.

I guess I could also ask if there's a trick to trying to remove/reinstall an iPhone screen protector as well.

There are plenty of YouTube instructionals, but basically, I do my screen protectors at work in the restroom (least dust), grab gloves from the med kit and bring scotch tape to lift and remove lint if any.

I have one tiny bubble on my whole iPad and it is way near the top

The thing I don't like about the tabbed browsers is the inability to open it up without reloading all tabs. Safari is nice that you can close it and come back to it immediately without it reloading everything.
you can change this in the settings so that it just opens a single page w no extra tabs every time you open it. i act changed it so that it would remember the tabs bc i was getting sick of loading 2p2, deadspin, barstool etc everytime i wanted to use it.

it basically eliminates the need for the 64gb ipad. Some dude was complaining he could "only fit 200 apps, 2 seasons of "The Tudors" a couple of movies, some songs, blah blah. Air Video is the solution!
