Anyone try Alpha Brain or other nootropics?

Joe Rogan endorses Alpha brain on his podcast He claims its great but is getting paid to do so. Anyone try this or other nootropics?

http://www.onnit.com/alphabrain/

I'd like something to help me focus and think more clearly.

This Alpha Brain sounds like a pretty good product, but I'll wait until they improve it and make it even beta.

Re: Anyone try Alpha Brain or other nootropics?

back when i played poker, i took piracetam regularly. Its a nootropic for memory. And it definitely helped me. What i noticed the most was for those "tip of your tongue" situations where recalling something is just barely out of reach. Remembering it would usually come to me after a short moment. Now that i stopped using it, i'd be lucky if i that ever happens.

The dreams are definitely awesome from AlphaBrain.

I took it for a few weeks and noticed my focus was effected almost immediately. At first it felt like I was more spacey/zoned out but the more I took it, the more I noticed I could focus on just about anything for long periods of time.

Nootropics are interesting, def something to look into.

My friend went through a bottle or 2 of Alpha Brain he compared it to a very mild dose of ritalin/addy. Just kinda gets all your **** goin feelin. Said it helped a lot for crappy days at work Think he also commented on the intense dreams

If this actually works it seems like something that would help me out incredibly. Can anyone else confirm or recommend similar products for focus? It seems a little pricey.

Re: Anyone try Alpha Brain or other nootropics?

What are risks and/or negative aspects for taking stuff like this? As with most drugs/supplements there is always something, and the side effects are rarely benign. Or is it too new and so any negative side effects would be undocumented?
