Re: anxiety hangovers
yea the thing is, im 24 good shape, eat fat **** after drinking (because of this i dont go black out drunk anymore so usually remember most stuff) and i drink some water afterwards.
weird thing is, sometimes it doesnt happen, remember a month back where it didnt happen for some reason. so maybe it is some mental thing.
oh and to the people saying only drinking 1-2 drinks not sucking, if you go out with a group drinking only 2 really sucks. you need to get at least a little drunk or else drunk people are just really anoying.
hmm and ill look into the pedialyte, that might help .

Fair enough. There's an enormous range between 2 drinks and blackout drunk. Like, instead of having 25 drinks in an evening, maybe cap it at a dozen?
Got to admit, I'm surprised at the number of people who find these symptoms normal. I used to be a heavy drinker as were most of my friends, and I've never had nor heard of anyone having such problems, other than alcoholics.

no its not, if i do this i`ll get ****faced again and i will just postpone the OP described hangover till next day when it will be way worst
i am 30 and started having the same hangover problem for like 3 years or so, before that i could binge 3 days with only a mild normal hangover
think it has something to do with age dunno
also took propecia before this started to happen so dunno lol
solution is to drink ****loads of water while you are drinking, seems to make it easier

Re: anxiety hangovers
Do not take Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen after drinking before bed as another poster suggested, that's one of the worst things you can do to your body.

Chipchip,
Sometimes you just get one of those hangovers where you have the yips. B-vitamins and water is always a good suggestion. I would also suggest you stick to drinks that have a low sugar content, like vodka sodas for instance, as I think that can increase the jitters.

The harmful effects of ibuprofen + alcohol are dramatically overstated imo. No, you don't want to gobble advil after drinking every night, but it's not going to hurt you to do it now and then. Acetaminophen is worse afaik

This I mean come on. I used to drink with the best of em. Eventually I realized that the marginal utility of alcohol pretty much ends at about seven or eight beers...I highly doubt that you are notbdrunk enough to have a good time at that point..
more likely you are too buzzed to the point where you just want more and you convince yourself your fine. You wont blackout on seven and you wont have a nasty hangover if you are young. You either need to train yourself to stop once you hit that point or you need to stop drinking. I quit for three months and gained some nice perspective... if you really cant stop at seven then you are surely an alcoholic. I don't think its terrible to get piss drunk for certain occasions like a big sporting event or something provided you are amongst good friends but you are surely going to get anxiety the next day

Re: anxiety hangovers
Alcohol is a depressant. A hangover will lead to all of this. It happens to me at times, although not the heart pounding. I do worry over..something, but I cannot put my finger on what.
Cut down on your drinking or just accept it?

Re: anxiety hangovers
i rarely get really blackout drunk, i ahve this too when i have like 8-10 drinks over the night and remember everything basicly. And for some reason when you go sober when everyone is drinking, you kinda feel out of sync for some reason. Not so much that friends start to annoy me. so i need at least a buzz
but ill try out some of the suggestions next time, and report back. or not .
