This decision will now be appealed to the Supreme Court. So far all there are only reports of what the decision says and that it is 143 pages. The actual decision should be up in Italian by the end of the day or tomorrow. An English version should be available early 2012.

With respect to the lone wolf theory there is conflicting reports as to what the decision says. It is reported that Hellman went lone wolf but then he also wrote "that it is not the court's task to determine if one individual did this or multiple individuals." WTF? That actually is the task of the court.

I had no idea that this thread would go as far and for as long as it did. I just know that at this point I am very confused about the whole ordeal concerning whether Knox and Sollecito are guilty or not.

There is nothing to be confused about. Knox killed Meredith. Hellman is a moron. The Supreme Court will restore the conviction. Then we have an interesting situation of will the US return Amanda to Italy or not.

I actually expect that she will try to get pregnant to avoid extradition.

Also a few more words on TOD. We'll have to wait for the translation, but my guess is the 10:15 is a reference to the GPRS connection the phone made that suggests the phone was no longer in the cottage. I think the reasoning is that 10:15 would be the latest possible time because we know the killer left with the phones then.

I still feel very confident that the actual time of death was before 9:30 and that the available evidence supports that. From what I'm reading Hellman clearly states that he believes the 9:58 and 10:00 phone activity (voicemail and Abbey call) were not Meredith so that in and of itself would suggest he believes TOD was before that phone activity.

He also apparently says that the Skype call is very important in this case and that Rudy says himself that he was in the house before the time when Meredith got home. It's not hard to put 2 + 2 together and see what happened when Meredith got home. That was at 9pm.

But let's not get caught up in the actual details of the evidence, let's just say 404 is wrong because of some magazine article that provides no reasoning.
