The guy has something like 4 podcasts. He can't get enough of his own voice. His new podcast with Dennis Miller is unbearable. It's two unfunny right-wing hacks with no chemistry rambling about political and social issues. Pass.

There's a playlist on youtube of ~150'ish clips from loveline that I found just the other day and almost listened to the whole thing. Can't find the one I'm talking about but this one seems to have a lot of the same clips.

+1 to everyone else regarding Carolla and to a lesser extent Drew. Loveline was an incredibly entertaining show (particularly when considering how heavy some of the subject matter got). The man show was also pretty good.

Since then Drew has become some kind of reality TV star and Carolla seems to be spiraling into a less and less funny miserable prick.

I'm actually more upset that Drew is doing dumb **** like "celebrity rehab" and lame appearances on shows like The View. I think he was really good at explaining problems with addiction and trauma to people in a way that was easy to understand.

I thought I was the only person in the world that wasn't a fan of Dr. Drew, though I still find Carolla pretty funny. He was recently on the podcast talking about some lady that claimed to be a psychic and how it was 'interesting' that she was so good at predicting things, implying he thought there was something to her magical ability. It also always bugged me how people would call into Loveline and he would just say meaningless stuff like "I hear a lot of aggression in your tone" wtf does that even mean. Then of course the person would say something about how their uncle was an alcoholic and Drew and Carolla would fall all over themselves congratulating each other on their medical diagnoses made during an 8 second phone call. Oh god I'm turning into one of them.

don't know much about dr drew. what i've seen on the stern show, he sounds like a jerk-off opportunist. guy should have been a politician.

judging him by that celeb rehab ****, and how many people have died, he sound's like the WOAT addiction expert.

i doubt it will be long before he adopts some right-wing persona and winds up on fox news like that bald idiot Dr. keith.

Doug Stanhope makes some good points.

ironically Adam would rant fairly often on loveline about how Drew would "do anything for a nickle," would love to be in Dr. Phil's shoes, etc. and that's exactly how Drew's life has played out... he's turned into the daytime tv pop-psychology "expert" that he used to despise.

adam also often said that drew's daughter was going to get an eating disorder because of drew's crazy wife and her participation in ice skating at a young age... surprise...

Adam's rants tend towards the extreme, but maybe 10-20% of what comes out of his mouth will resonate deeply with guys. For the amateur player who has occasionally entertained the notion of going pro, this might make a lot of sense:

Funny because it's true?

Excerpt:
Quote:
Adam: But here's the deal... 50-something year old guys sitting around talking about other tournaments while they're in their tournament -- who basically will play for 14 hours and get up the next day and play some more. That's a loser. We can appreciate them for their math skills and their ability to have a poker face, but let's not forget they're losers. Let's never forget that. Even the winners [are] losers!
[chuckles from Drew and Will Arnett]

Gina is starting to look really hot with her weight loss. I don't know how to link a picture on Twitter but there are several recent ones if you click through her feed @ginagrad.

What a lucky guy her boyfriend is (I think they've been going out since before she got on Adam's show?). Super cool chick who has gotten hotter and is making more money than when they first started going out.

Holy **** his new TV show a trainwreck. Maybe they'll figure it next week, but that was horribly organized and there weren't any good jokes or stories.

didn't see the show, but just curious, is that coming from a non-fan or from someone like me who's listened to 10,000 hours of carolla and so you've already heard all of his chambered jokes/stories? what i mean is, were there just a lot of repeats or was it mostly new stuff that wasn't funny?

I'm a fan who has listened to thousands of lovelines, Radio shows, podcasts, etc. It was horribly produced and structured. I would have been fine hearing the same stories he's told dozens of times. This was a disorganized, hectic mess.

She is much uglier once you listen to her brown nose cackle a few times. Or listen to her randomly interrupt to finish someone's sentence again. Or listen to her little girl voice aka her porn star voice aka every impression of every girl ever aka her gwen stefani voice.

Can you tell I'm angry at how garbage this podcast has become? It's pure garbage for right wing morons now. Not even smart conservative people. Just the dumbest of the dumb.

The falling out with Donnie and Alison, the patent pirate suit, Kimmel goes to A list while Adam drops to D list.

Before these events, one of the best pods out there. Since, unlistenable.

I unsubbed a few years ago to all of the Adam casts I had in queue, which was basically Adam Carolla Show and the one he did (does?) with Drew. He never seemed to me to be able to capture the chemistry he once had with Drew on that 'cast with the others, and he spent as much time griping at Drew about touching the microphone as he did producing actual content. Add to that the time he spends complaining about how hard the rich white man has it and I just had to tap out.

Reasonable Doubt with Mark Geragos is a must-listen for me every week but other than that I consume very little Carolla content.

RD was good at first. I'm a lawyer who was an ACS fan so it should have been the perfect storm. Adam (naturally) stopped talking about any of the cases and now just uses it as a 5th podcast to rehash the same stories. Geragos is too polite to disagree with any of Adam's stupid points and has been beaten into "yes, and"'ing to the point of submission.

ADS/Loveline were great when there was tension and the cohost pushed back. Now that Adam neuters and beats his cohosts down it's just depressing. Drew is a bajillionaire TV celeb and Mark is top 5 litigators in the country and Adam still gives them life lessons from the 6 months he spent at UCB before dropping out and makes them watch videos of him driving an old race car. It's hot garbage.

Adam: "The black community is ****ed up."
Mark: "Yeah but then you have wonderful young men like Chris Brown that can't catch a break."
Adam: "Yeah but damn that Boy can move!!! Speaking of mooooove.... LEGAL ZOOM BABy"

**** me kill yourself.

Carolla has never pretended not to be a racist, and I haven't listened in many years, but how many listeners did he just lose because of this? Teenage me grew up cracking up to Loveline was the only reason I hung on as long as I did.

I started listening to his podcast in 2012 and probably missed only half a dozen of them until a few months ago. Kind of fell out of the habit, though I enjoy his cohorts.

This is the last straw for me. I'm done with it.
