Take a caffeine pill and a multivitamin (or b12 supplement) and you'll get the same effect. Anything else is pretty much placebo.

I've found that taking a caffeine pill in a US office environment to be pretty loltastic. In my experience, some people will think you're some sort of addict / tweaker because they've never seen it before, and the only people who take non-prescribed pills are obv. degens. But it's cheaper and less effort than coffee, doesn't stain your teeth and allows you to carefully manage your dosage. I eventually learned to like coffee though after getting an Aeropress (check the EDF coffee thread for more info).

I prefer redbull to caffeine pills because i can regulate my intake better than the whole 200 mg of caffeine hitting you all at once.

^^
A pill is digested way slower and works way longer than an energy-drink with the same amount of milligramm, if you drink it at once. You can split and quarter pills, too.

To your last post:
B12 would definintely be a placebo, since your body needs to get used to digest massive overdoses of this vitamin (lowest daily demand in weight of all vitamins) over several days/weeks to at all benefit of it.
Also, B12 is stored in the liver (like vitamin A and E), and the chance that you have a lack of it when you are living in an industrial country (when you eat meat, dairy, etc) is as close to zero as it gets, if you don't have some rare indigestion. You are obviously brainwashed.

I think that you are a terrible poster, and OOT would be a better place without you. Though, your blog was a nice read. I nearly read all of it a few month ago.

Maybe in an office full of young men or something. Here between olds with prescriptions, hippies with vitamins, etc a pill bottle wouldn't get a second glance.

LOL you could not possibly have overreacted more to my post. I only mentioned b12 because it's a main ingredient in a lot of these energy mixes - i don't know exactly how that makes me brainwashed or a bad poster but grats on not being one of the sheeple! You're so enlightened and clearly intelligent, not dumb at all.

I have wondered about the other ingredients in those drinks. I take it that there aren't any secret new things that help the caffeine? (like guarana, etc.) I was hoping that they had something modern and "special" that worked like speed.

Good nutrition aka 16 hour energy (followed by 8 hours of sound sleep). That stuff is awesome.

That's great but putting nutrition into my body isn't very useful at helping me put my body into someone else's body.

That's why I use alcohol, to great excess and enjoyment.

Then I take a Five Hour or two to get through the work day and do it all again.

It's not just that single post, and you know that I didnt talk about that one alone...
You currently are a backpaddling self-proclaimed wannabe-sociopath, and the more you coquet with that image, the more ridiculous it gets. Insecurity and the need for attention often lead to brainfarts - thats human.
Nevermind, I think I mainly dislike you because you remember me of myself to some extent.

Good, so you attack a really harmless post i make for reasons that you've entirely fabricated.

That's sort of pathetic.

Yeah, I love Rockstars. Their newer 0 calorie sparkling ones are delicious. One of them tastes like peach rings. Their green apple and blueberry ones are great, although I can't do the non-carbonated ones.

Rockstar and Monster taste terrible. Red bull is probably my second favourite behind V.

The first time I had ever heard of 5 hour energy some spokes models were walking around a football tailgate and giving out handfuls of them. I mistakenly assumed they were sample size bottles of some red bull knock off, so I drank 3 or 4. Bad times.

They taste like vomit though. Why would keep drinking them?
