I don't understand, why? something to do with the ridiculous price or the drink itself?

they are real cheap at costco and are clearly more effective than a medium coffee

5 hr energy is pretty bad value imo, too expensive for a tiny shot. i dont drink coffee so just have a rockstar or venom every morning. great stuff

I like them a lot, definitely don't pay 3.75 at the gas station stock up at costco instead like another poster said

To me the value is in the size. I'd much rather take a small shot than chug a giant can of acid.

5 hour energy contains 200mg of caffeine and a big scoop of placebos. Price: $2

A caffeine pill from CVS costs 18 cents, contrains 200mg and no BS. Oh and they aren't disgusting.

It won't help with the caffeine addiction but it'll save you a ****ton of money.

how is placebos even relevant here since there is actually a decent portion of caffeine in 5 hour energy lol

His point is that you're basically paying $1.80 for water.

Never tried caffeine pills, might have to look into it.

Because he's not referring to the caffeine; he's referring to all that other magical **** that's supposed to give you energy, but it doesn't do **** and the caffeine boost makes you believe that it does.

You could drop a caffeine pill in some cough syrup and it would taste the same/have the same effect for a fraction of the price.

Caffeine powder... Available on Ebay.

Make your own "Energy" drinks.

or, you could get some better cough syrup, drop some green apple skittles into the better cough syrup, add a little mountain dew and be chopped and screwed for an hour or so...

caffeine is incredibly bitter, in order to make it palatable you would end up making something just as syrupy as the real energy drinks. (In my opinion, maybe not everyone thinks caffeine tastes so nasty?)

**** makes me sleepy in an hour. Worthless. I rarely drink caffeine to. No pop. Red bull occasionally (like once a week) and no coffee at all.

It's the stone nuts for hangovers.

Excessive alcohol use depletes B vitamin stores. 5 Hour Energy has a ****load of B vitamin.

chugging a bottle of pedialyte and a 5-hour energy absolutely is my hangover go-to.

plus about 10mg of hydrocodone if you have access to it.

I place a dollar value on twisting a cap and downing a shot vs screwing with four pills bottles.

I can afford the dollar. It's like I'm a king.

You're way off the mark here IMO. 5hr energy is a good product albeit pricey. More efficient than coffee in every way. They do have the WOAT commercials tho.

+1 to caffeine pills...way cheaper, do the trick and will help with dieting ime.

5 Hour Energy works. Really well. The only thing I found that was more effective was adderall. It's like actual science and ****.

I've decided I'm glad that it costs what it does, because I wouldn't want it to be cheap to the point where it was a daily thing. If I'm having one, it's likely because I made a ****ty choice about sleep the night before, and that should come with a tax.
