The 2017 Two Plus Two Celebrity Death Pool - Who's gonna croak first? The 2017 Two Plus Two Celebrity Death Pool - Who's gonna croak first?

Farewell to two comedy giants.

The criminally underappreciated Dick Gregory.

And Jerry Lewis.
Here's Jerry Seinfeld on one of Mr. Lewis's more recent controversial moments.

And here he is on our pool, below, with scoring players bolded. Sheet is here for interested parties.

Enjoy the eclipse, everyone.

I thought so too, but she jumped. Brutal. I guess the thought is it very quick, you need no weapons or tools, and death is almost a certainty from high-up. Being paralyzed would mega-suck. Having to tell people that you are in a wheelchair because of a failed suicide attempt would be rather awkward.

Many--including Oscar Goldman from the Six Million Dollar Man / Bionic Woman. But so far as I know, none that have been on our lists.

But this is a good time for folks to check their own lists -- especially if they listed obscure names.

No recent scores.

But if you read one obituary all year, make it this one.

Stanislav Petrov, Soviet Officer Who Helped Avert Nuclear War, Is Dead at 77

I poured one out for him. You should, too.

I didn't have Bobby Heenan on my team ?

There's a spreadsheet you, or anyone, can check.

To save time: it says nobody had him.

Wow, would love to see the hypothetical 2017 world if he had made the call.

For my end of it: not interested in that, not one little bit, no thank you.

But I'm hard-pressed to come up with someone who saved more lives. Jonas Salk, maybe?
Alexander Fleming (discovered penicillin)?

I am also obliged to point out that the "no scoring" is out-of-date in the last hour: Jake LaMotta punched out. SuperUberBob, econophile had him. Scoring update (spreadsheet) will come later in the week.

Maybe Howard will give us a good Hef story from when they attended elementary together.

When someone you picked died, are you happy? I'd be like "**** it. I don't know the guy."

Dear Mr. Hefner:

My 13-year-old self is very, very grateful for your work. Rest in peace.

In reading his obituary--I read it for the article -- I learned that Wikipedia has its very own category for centerfold twins. (Happy searching, everybody.)

Here's your leaderboard. Scoring players bolded--this also includes Jake LaMotta. Sheet is here for interested parties.
