Re: Winning Poker Tournaments One Hand... Vol 2

I really wanted vol. 1. Do you know if it's going to be writtin by the same players or do they use different authors each vol.? I went to barnes&noble but they didn't have it even thought the website said it was in stock. Is it worth it, and is it easy to understand. I wanted to get a NL book and tourney book. I have only read Limit books. I just know you can't use limit books for NL play and tourney play.

Vol 1 Available here.

I'll have Vol 2 up for pre-release in Jan. I don't like to hold on to your $$ too long.

It's a very good book. It's sort of like watching really good training videos. If you've never read a NL book and you're interested in tournaments I might suggest the first Harrington On Hold'em series if you are a pretty sophisticated and good limit player. If you are a beginner you might should start with something more basic, but I'm not sure what to recommend for that. Phil Gordon's Little Green Book is OK.

stay away from Phil Gordon's little green book....It's awful.

if you think vol of this series is too much for you, read harrington.....but alot of things have changed since harrington since so many people adopted that style.

This series is excellent so far and can't wait for vol 2

Why do you say that? It's a reasonable intro book

Hello,

My very first post on 2+2. :-)

I pre-ordered the book @ High Stakes Bookshop in the UK and they list it for *tomorrow* to be released. Amazon.com however list the release to be late February...

Can't wait. :-)

IceRunner, We ship directly from the printer to ProfessionalPoker.com, so they are the first retailer in the world to receive Dimat books and they ship worldwide. It takes a little time to get books to the European retailers simply due to the additional shipping time it takes to get there.

Thanks Matthew

I must say I have never ever pre-ordered a book before. I am a patient person. But not now.

So if we order from professionalpoker.com when should we expect to see the book?
