CTS is the man!...though, I won't be able to buy this book for a looong time if ever. Have any of you guys been fortunate enough to get a hold of this book and was it really worth the asking price? Also, what is the main focus of this book? (I would think putting opponents on a range of hands, or playing against your opponents range.)

$947!!!! ZOMG, are they for real?? I'd never pay that for a POKER BOOK! I've never heard of this DTS character but he can't be good enough to demand almost 1k for a poker book! I read Phil Hellmuth's "Play Poker Like the Pros" and that costs only $10 on Amazon at the moment and he's won 11 world series of poker bracelets! How many world series of poker bracelets does CPS have???

laughing out loud I log in and a new CTS fan posts here. :P

It's well worth it! I just pawned my car, and my girl friends engagement ring and got the e-book. That way I kept my $480 bankroll on Stars intact! I am no better yet, but I still have the dream.

Don't listen to Red Joker he is a total nit the probably has never 3 bet someone in his life and would never pay retail for a poker book.

That's less than a dollar per bracelet, you can't beat it.

too short and bad writing overall, too few examples and some even results oriented ones.

not worth the money at all, at 40~20$ might be

Is there really a poker book that costs $950. That is probably more than what I spent on books during college.

No, couldn't be, looks like a level.

$1.94 for some poker material seems more reasonable to me in order not to feel like one is overpaying.

No level.

$947 for the NLHE book. $1247 for NLHE and PLO books and (for a limited time) they'll give you a FREE copy of HEM. That's a savings of $145.

Such a deal.

i would think most of the mid/high stakes regs have absorbed the plays in this book by now, making it less valuable. confirm or deny?

Well, im high stakes reg, bought the book a week ago or so, didn't say anything i didn't know already (im a winning reg). I guess i'ts good for validation if you are going through a rough time, but 1k validation >.<

dont know if this is legal to put or not but cliff notes:

when in doubt, shove.

It actually cost you much, much more than $1k. Think of the hours you could have ben putting in at the tables instead of reading and analyzing that book! If you're making so much money that you can afford to spend $1000 that you know probably won't revolutionize your game and that is self-describedly meant for stakes lower than you play, you should spending your time doing much much more fun things than getting ripped off by CTS.

This is something I've been wondering about all these expensive ebooks. It seems that they all came out a long time ago and buying them won't really teach you anything at this point because if you're beating the stakes it takes to afford a copy you should already know what's in them.

Yea ... it's out of date to say the least. I remember everyone talking about how this book would revolutionize poker when it first came out.

oh lawd

Virtually everyone who's posted in this thread is simply uninformed about the quality of content in this book, and other ebooks too. As with many things, a person's opinion is very subjective and most people aren't close to being qualified to provide an educated and objective analysis.

Implications:

- you don't feel qualified either
- you are qualified but you don't want to add to the discussion
