Yes, but the printed copy will appear first. Then we'll have it converted to ebook format for our 2+2 store, and at the same time it'll be sent to Amazon so they can convert it to kindle format. But the Amazon process usually takes a while and we have no control over how long that time frame is.

mason

thank you for your answer. I'm pleased, as I refer the PDF anyway (which I think is the default 2+2 format?) so I'm not too worried about the Kindle.

Do you estimate that the eBook release will be be within the same month of release as the paperback?

I live in Korea, so I don't think it's worth buying the paperback - hence my questions.

Thanks

We should have it available in e-book format (not kindle) on the 2+2 store within a month of release of the paperback.

Mason

The book is definitely a must-get. Can't wait.

Somewhat off-topic question for Mason:

Do you offer the print books first for solely practical reasons (i.e. it’s just how you’ve always done business, you haven’t streamlined the e-book conversion process as well as the print process yet, etc.) or do you have some personal affinity for the printed word over the digital version?

Just curious because I grew up without digital books, and though I’m not a stickler, I do have much more appreciation for a physical book (especially quality printed books like 2p2’s).

Before we can do an ebook, we have to have the book completely finalized. Once this is done, the printing will usually get completed before the ebook conversion for our 2+2 store is finished.

Then at this same time, we'll send the appropriate files to Amazon for their conversion to kindle format, and that usually takes a while for Amazon to complete this process.

Best wishes,
Mason

So unfortunately there is not going to be a foreword by Ben Sulsky. This isn't due to the content of the book, but we weren't able to get a foreword which worked for everyone with the time constraints we had.

That said, it was great getting to talk to Ben so much throughout the last year while editing the book, and I know how lucky he was to constantly discuss concepts with me. It's amazing such a talented person was so generous with his time.

Can you clarify this, please?

I don't see how any of that is unclear, I'm just acknowledging how lucky I was to get to talk with someone who is so talented despite the foreword unfortunately not working out.

It's unclear because you said he was the one that was lucky to be able to talk with you, and it turns out you meant it the other way around.

Oh sorry, yeah, completely backwards. I obviously meant the other way around, sorry for any confusion. I was very lucky to get to talk with him.

Ha ha, I wondered about that comment when I read it yesterday. Thought Janda either has a helluva ego or he's made a little mistake when typing this out

Haha, I was hoping in context no one would think that due to the following sentence (or at least be confused enough to check the thread again and make sure), but it's a good thing 1aday pointed it out so quickly. I often double or even triple check stuff before I post it, but in this case I was so sure what I meant (me obviously being the lucky one and it being pretty amazing the winningest cash game player of 2012 was go generous with his time) that I didn't realize the small mistake despite reading it a few times.

I assure you I don't have a poker ego, and if I did I wouldn't be stupid enough to to make a comment like that anyways.

Anyhow, now that that's cleared up feel free to let me know if there are any more questions regarding the book.

The book is finished, has been type set, and we have just started the final proofreading. When this is done it goes to our index builder, and once that is finished onto our printer. So my best guess is mid May.

Best wishes,
Mason

PS: We should run an excerpt in next month's Two Plus Two Online Poker Strategy Magazine.
This was posted about a month ago.
I hope Mason can reply with more recent information...

Also, I would like to know if there will be a possibility to buy a combo of both printed edition and e-book edition? It seems ridiculous that I will have to pay a full price twice for the same content.
