Dont have the option to play live NLH in my state. Playing a lot of 2-100 spread. Im focusing more on cash games than MTTs right now. Made a few mistakes recently when I brought some MTT play to the Cash table. Read some of the beginner books years ago and ofc recently a ton of content on the web but limit and spread limit info is lacking. I plan to read Theory and Practice & Small Stakes Hold 'Em at some point but just looking for a few more suggestions w/regards to Spread and Limit.

I can't say for spread limit, but I recently did a lot of digging through the forums to get advice on limit books.

Small Stakes Hold'em by Miller is at the top of almost everybody's list to read first.

Weighing the Odds in Hold'em by King Yao. Seems to be a favorite for the next level after SSHE.

Theory of Poker by Sklansky.

The Intelligent Poker Player by Philip Newall.

Winning in Tough Hold'em Games by Stoxtrader (some folks recommend it for tougher live games that have good players in it, others feel it doesn't translate well to live from online)

Hold'em Poker for Advanced Players by Skalnsky seems to have a lukewarm reputation these days. Some players say it has weird advice that isnt optimal for today's game. Im about halfway through myself, and i find Sklansky's writing styke much more haphazard and obtuse than Miller's in SSHE. Yao's book seems to be a better choice according to many posters.

Other Limit books that have many fans but less overall concencus are Middle Limit Hold'em by Bob Ciaffone and Advanced Limit Hold'em by Barry Tanenbaum.

I'm interested in reading Further Limit Hold'em by Newall, it doesn't have many reviews on the forum.

There's probably more books but those are the titles that get tossed around most often.

Also Real Poker II: the Play of Hands by Roy Cooke.

One book I forgot to mention that is a popular intro to limit is Winning Low Limit Hold'em by Lee Jones. It advocates a conservative, straightforward, arguably weak-tight strategy especially compared to SSHE but it is easy to understand how to apply the concepts. I read it first before SSHE and mostly have ignored it since.

You should read Newall's The Intelligent Poker Player before Further Limit Hold 'em.

Best wishes,
Mason
